Where do I start ? There are some good and bad things to mention about this property. Firstly, we were greeted by a lovely lady who may have been the owner. She was welcoming and nice throughout our stay. The pool was very clean and we were there most days to chill. On our first night we didn’t get to shower as the water was cold and just wouldn’t heat up. They were quick to try and sort and stated water is slow but does work. The shower does not go onto a hook so you have to hold it finding it very challenging to wash and hold the shower head at the same time. I never felt clean and water was always coming onto the bathroom floor making it a daily struggle with things. The hot water worked when it wanted to and some days when it got to my partner using it it would be cold. Very disappointed by the hot water. In our room above bed there was a plug socket and if you touched it or the wood board touched it it would make sparking noises. I had to sleep on sofa downstairs otherwise I was worried I’d get an electric shock. The sparking sound would keep me/partner awake. Also, bed board was screwed to the wall and had fallen off making me unable to stay in that bed without it making a banging noise. Beware, dogs wake you up at 6-7am most days barking so loudly and I’m not sure if it was just where we were positioned. We paid a great price and we got what we paid for. Rooms are in need of a makeover as some things were falling apart. I did not want to give a 1 as the lady very nice

IN GENERAL BUNGALOW WAS VERY NICE. MY ONLY BAD COMMENTS A TV WIT,FEW OTHER FOREIGN CHANEL (BBC,FRENCH)WOULD HAVE MADE ME STAYING MORE IN EVENING.BUT20 SPANISH NOT VERY INTERESTING FOR MY LIKING.

Very peaceful and excellent value. Good transport links which I needed to get anywhere. It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere! Great for the Sun though. Two balconies so there’s always some sunshine. The reception was unmanned though so was difficult to get advice about anything.

Enjoy.
It is a good budget apartment complex about a 45 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride between either of the 2 main beaches. It is on a hill with a Spar a 5 min walk away. There is a decent sized pool and most apartments appear to be south facing .Mine had 2 sunbeds and got the sun from morning till dusk. There is a flat screen tv but I had no kettle/toaster/microwave. I didn't ask for them but if it is important I suggest you check. Once you have the keys you just let yourself in/out. Enjoy.

We stayed there as a couple for 6 nights, mainly left after breakfast and got back at the end of the day to eat, have shower and sleep. The apartment's size is more than enough for 2 people, you have got all the basic equipments that you need, beds were so! comfortable (we had 2 single beds but could put them together without any issues), the terrace is awsome - you can have the typicall holiday feeling when sitting out for a morning coffe and watching the sunrise through the palm trees. You can use a not too big pool, sunbeds, cheap "big" store and 2 restaurants are close. The weakest point was the public transport and distance from the city center/beach - depending on you destination you have to walk 1,5-3 km to get to a bus stop, or around 40-50 mins (or more) to the beach/city center. Staff were friendly and helpful (however 2 out of the 3 people did not speak so much english), they let us leave our bags with them till the night on our check out day. In overall for this price it was an awsome apartment, the distance can be a compromise since you need to walk through beautifull places if you want to get somewhere (just plan it in advance). We would recommend it and would go back again :)

A week in Sonnenland
A good place to stay for a quiet holiday as it’s quite far from all the nightlife. Our apartment was nice but tired and in need of a refurbishment. We were there for a week and the cleaner came the day after we arrived and we thought that was it, however she came again the day prior to our departure which we found strange as we thought she had forgotten. The staff and other residents and restaurant next door were all friendly and made us very welcome.

Great. Recently refurbished?
I slightly hesitated booking when I saw some of the average reviews. I can only review my apartment, but guessing recently refurbished and to a very high standard since it was first class, could not fault it apart from no microwave oven and some but acceptable noise from neighbours. Clean, well equipped and a good layout over two floors and good sized rooms. Two balconies, top one with a excellent view out to the coast. Lower balcony partial view of the pool area. Didn’t use it but the pool and pool area looked great, certainly not like previous reviews. Based on my apartment I would recommend without hesitation and would definitely stay again.

Nice enough budget hotel!
Nice budget apartments, nice pool, great views to melonaris and sea in the distance but only from A few of the apartments including mine fortunately! My only complaint was distance from yumbo center and the action! Hourly bus service until 7.30pm tho or taxis! I chose hire car but usually had a 5 minute uphill walk back to hotel from nearest parking space! A few parking spots outside hotel at a minor extra charge tho but none available when I asked! Overall, fine, I'd stay again for the right price but parking and distance from yumbo was only downside!

my stay here was very comfortable, it's self catering which is what we like, the kitchen is adequate for for cooking a decent meal, the rooms are cleaned but you need to do your bit to keep it that way, the resort is good value and the staff are nice, if there is anything you need, (you only have to ask) all in all, 10/10

Staff was friendly, location a bit far from everything. Nice apartment, the only problem is I wasn't alone in the house. Cockroaches invaded the kitchen, I had to put the been out of the building. Still caught a few giant cockroaches!

Good value self catering accommodation.
The Ataitana Faro offers great value for money. The apartments are clean and spacious with adequate facilities. Hobs, coffee machine, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, adequate crockery/cutlery all provided. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Particular thanks to Luciano the Manager who dealt with some minor issues effectively and with charm. It's a 30 min walk to Meloneras beach and regular buses to Maspalomas/ Playa Ingles. Pool area is nice and I would visit again.

Disappointing choice of apartments
Unfortunately not the most pleasant review to write about our recent holiday. We were initially disappointed on arrival at the apartments. I am aware that ants are unavoidable in warm climates, but we spent the first hour cleaning crumbs and grime out of the kitchen drawers and cupboards that the ants were feeding on. The apartment was a nice design, with bedroom and 2nd balcony upstairs, but again the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The whole place was very very tired and in need of total upgrading. Bedding changed twice a week, but the sheets and pillow cases were worn out, full of holes and didn’t feel particularly clean, the same with the towels. And an extra 20euros to park the car in a busy residential area for our 10 day stay (not 1 euro a day as advertised). The pool was shabby (see photos) there were missing mosaic tiles, black crusty growth taking their place. Not inviting at all. Cheap and cheerful? Well it wasn’t particularly cheap, and I’m sure other complexes in the location would have been better. We always book 2/3 star accommodation – basic clean and comfortable, however this place was the first time in 20 years we have been so disappointed with our choice. The location was OK for us – on hill at the back of the Maspalomas area– a few restaurants and Spar shop in walking distance, however we found our car invaluable for getting around the island. I think we may visit Gran Canaria again – the weather in spring is simply superb, but definitely won’t be
