Staff is nice, but would not let us in until normal checkin time of 4pm without paying another $30. Our flight got us in the area by 9:30 am. But they did hold our bags for free. Just would have been nice to freshen up before visiting the area after a long flight.

Clean but wouldn’t stay again. Don’t expect to check in before 4pm they said early checkin would be a charge of $22.50 with no guarantee of an early check in. The pool area was overcrowded with not enough chairs to accommodate over 25 waiting for their room to become available after 4pm. The additional $22 parking is next door with no elevator connected to the hotel so you have to haul it down stairs or down the parking structure. The elevator inside was small and very slow. The staff were not helpful.

We had a great stay at the Bayside. They were under some construction at the time, but it never interfered with us. Staff is friendly and building is secured at night. Minutes walk to little Italy, the cruise ship terminal and right across from Starbucks that opens very early in the a.m. Great clean and affordable place to stay

It's not a hotel for holiday.
If you pay by cash, you have to pay first at check-in. I asked for a receipt, but the staff told me to receive it on the day of check-out and didn't give me the receipt, which made me uncomfortable. The lunch box for breakfast was simple instant food, so I didn't like it. The view was bad and there was only noise because the front building was under construction. There was a coffee machine in the lobby, but there was no cup, so I couldn't use it. The parking fee was $22. It was good that there was a parking space even in the evening.

Typical city based hotel. Great property. Front desk staff could use some refresher course on customer service. Also, everything costs... extremely high because it's in California. Be careful walking around sheet dark. Not the safest place in town. Noted urination/ defecation while walking to nearby Little Italy.
