Cabana Suite – Private Ocean-View Retreat
The Cabana Suite is located on the lowest level of a newly remodeled contemporary home. Completely private, the suite is only connected to the main house by a secure door that remains locked — giving you your own independent space.
Guests enter from street level, where there’s ample free parking, and descend about 12 steps to the suite’s private entrance.

Inside the Suite:
•Bathroom: Beautifully appointed with shower/tub combo, vanity, and heated Japanese-style bidet toilet — a luxurious touch you’ll love.
•Living/Kitchen Area: Open-concept space with an 18-foot roll-up glass garage door (blackout curtains included) opening to a 500 sq ft private patio with ocean views, outdoor seating, lounging, and a new sunset swing. This design creates the ultimate indoor-outdoor Southern California coastal lifestyle.
•Entertainment & Comfort: 52" smart TV, 2 zero-gravity lounge chairs, high-top dining table, and a couch that converts into a futon-style queen bed (no springs!).
•Kitchen: Fully equipped with everything you need, including a well-stocked coffee station with coffee maker, K-cups, ground coffee, and French press.
Bedroom & Work Space:
•Bedroom: Queen-sized Tempur-Pedic bed, walk-in closet with sliding barn doors, and access to the patio for ocean-view alfresco dining.

The Cabana Suite offers a completely private space & entrance to the 1,000 sq ft guest suite. Enjoy the entire lower floor of the home, 2 spacious patios (1,200 sq ft) & private fire pit. There's always ample free street parking right in front of the house & a quiet residential vibe for the area.

Let us know if you need anything during your stay! Your privacy & comfort are important to us. We are always available for any questions, recommendations, concerns, etc. but otherwise you'll have the guest suite all to yourselves! Enjoy!
The neighborhood:
The property is only a 10 min drive from the San Diego International Airport & similar distance to Sea World, Mission Beach/Bay, Gaslamp, Little Italy, Balboa Park/Zoo & other attractions. Even closer to Ocean Beach, Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) & Thursday Club. The ocean, cliffs & small beaches in the area are located about a 10 min walk from the guest suite
At the bottom of Point Loma Avenue, you'll find a convenience store (Sea Trader), Pizza place (Rosarios), Mexican restaurant (Sunnie's), small bistro (Little Lion) & gas station. Ocean Beach & Point Loma offer plenty of restaurants, bars & nightlife to enjoy! Jensen’s grocery store is a quick 5 min drive away for gourmet prepared goods & groceries.
My favorite, local Sunset Cliffs beach is at the end of Santa Cruz Street. You'll see the stairs down to access the cliffs & the beach. During the summer season, lifeguards are on duty as well. I also enjoy a run from the property to the end of Orchard Street where you can make your way to this same beach area with some walking on rocks and dirt path. Amazing in the morning or at sunset. Liberty Station is a short 10 min drive with a great Public Market with tons of small restaurants & local shops. There is plenty of free street parking right across the street from the unit. We also offer eBike rentals to explore the area.
Accessibility:
There is a set of stairs (about 12 steps) down from the street & a few steps up to the main entry door which older or limited mobility guests should consider.
Once in the unit, it's a single level guest suite. There are a few steps down to the fire pit & outdoor dining area.
eBike Rentals:
We have 2 eBikes for rent. The cost is $50/day per bike for the 1st day and $25/day per bike for any additional days. There's a basic rental agreement to sign + a $200 damage/loss waiver fee collected at the time of the rental. This is returned at the end of the rental if no damage or loss of equipment.
Early Check-in or Late Check out:
We try to accommodate requests for early check-in or late check out as best as we can depending on the Cabana Suite rental schedule. Please ask us in advance if needed as it's especially difficult to adjust the cleaning schedule for check outs.
If available, we do not charge for arriving 2 hours early (1 pm check-in) or departing 2 hours late (1 pm check out). If requesting an earlier or later check-in/check out beyond this 2 hour window, please ask us for pricing as it can depend on the season and the number of extra hours you need.
