Below you will find details about our 2 bed/ 1 bath home, Kat's Oceanfront Corner Condo located in the Ocean Point Vacation Rentals complex on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach.

Ocean Point Vacation Rentals is located on the Pacific Beach boardwalk across from the Crystal Pier. On the ground level is the community pool and hot tub. There is also a lounging area, gas BBQ and each condo has an individual parking space in the underground parking garage. Surfers provide sunup to sundown entertainment from every room in the condo. Do not forget your camera to capture the picture-perfect sunsets!

Kat's light and airy second floor corner ocean view condo has an ocean view windows to the West and light-emitting windows from the North. The clean, fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking and eating at home, plus the ocean view! There are tile floors in the kitchen, bath and entry. The master bedroom features a king size bed and flat screen TV while the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, flat screen TV and a vanity with a sink and mirror. A queen sofa bed offers additional sleeping space in the living room, if needed, and the coffee table lifts up for dining. Enjoy free movies on HBO and Cinemax!

We can provide an air conditioning unit for an additional fee. Please contact us to reserve the inventory.

We provide 2 adult bicycles for exploring the miles and miles of ocean and bay boardwalks. Also included are beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, and boogie boards found in the garage storage cabinet. There is a large coin operated laundry room where you can do all your laundry at once and save time. The condo building, including the garage, is secure and requires a key or remote garage door opener for entry.

The convenient location is 2 miles from SeaWorld, 3 miles from Old Town, and just 7-9 miles from the Gaslamp District, Little Italy, and the world famous San Diego Zoo in lovely Balboa Park. Come enjoy all San Diego has to offer along with the best weather in the nation!

Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

*NOTE: This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. It is important for you to read all the details about your property. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed.

Attention Guests: In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days. We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store. We can provide a portable a/c for an additional fee, contingent on availability. Please contact us to reserve one in our limited inventory as soon as possible. Deliveries are scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, either Keurig coffee makers with k-cups or standard coffee makers, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, co2/fire detectors, and most homes have heat available.

While on vacation, we want our guests to enjoy their vacation to the fullest and we feel in order for our guests to do this, they should also feel informed. Our emails serve to educate you on your vacation rental home, the surrounding area, responsibilities, what to expect and how to get in touch with us. We respect your privacy so our emails help provide you with all you need to know to reference as you please.

Holiday 2024 Policy:
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.

Summer 2024 Policy:
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2024, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as, payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

Nightly Minimum Policy:

Property had great view of ocean, surfers, food, and activities. Area is busy during the day but quiet at night. Felt safe in the complex. Condo well stocked with appliances and beach needs. Things to know: small cars are best for the garage and small parking spots. This unit has a very tight fit for parking. Internet was slow and often kicks you off streaming. But with the ocean and amenities who needs TV.

The location of this unit is very good for the Ocean blvd walking and beach activity. Lots of restaurants in the area. However the unit itself is extremely worn. The door lock malfunctioned actually locking us IN the unit and property management had to send out their maintenance person. He was very helpful and the management team was responsive. The listing lists washer and dryer but these appliances are shared in the garage and cost extra. The unit needs a good cleaning and attention to appliances. The refrigerator was rusted on the outside as was the stove, which had not been cleaned. I don't think we would rent this property again.

For us the location was perfect! Waking to watch the surfers and boardwalk travelers was wonderful. The local “color” was definitely part of our expectations and may not be for everyone. The building was reasonably secure and everyone super friendly. The condo was nice, clean, bright and comfortable - the management was great and check-in/out seamless. We would definitely come back.

We used this property as our home base (Family of 5). It was perfect for us. The description of the property is accurate and as stated in the listing bring a smaller car as parking is tight. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance and we felt safe day and night.

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
Kat's place was absolutely marvelous! We had everything we needed. Got in late and didn't have time to go to the store but kitchen was stocked with instant coffee, several boxes of tea bags, popcorn, honey, agave sweetener, etc. Ice maker worked great! We could walk to everywhere we needed. Loved the boardwalk was right out our door. There was a TV in every room. Washer/dryer in the basement took a credit card so no hassle with having to find change! Awesome! We had a marvelous time and had more than we needed! My only comment and definitely not a criticism was the rental "truck" we had would not fit in the garage. There is a 6' height limit. We were able to find parking in the back or on the street. We can't wait to come back!!!

Perfect Location in Pacific Beach
We enjoyed our stay in Pacific Beach in early August. The property was clean and as expected based on the listing. Check-In and Check-Out was real easy. There are many great restaurants and shops within walking distance. We loved the easy access to the beach and the view of the ocean. The complex itself could use some updates. The elevator was out of order for part of our stay and with the exterior stairs under repair, it made it a little tricky getting to the second floor condo. The pool and hot tub were clean. The parking spot was a little tight. Overall, it was great, and we highly recommend.

Awesome location in Pacific beach
We had a great stay at this property. It was such a great location right on the beach. Condo was clean and matched listing. We loved the east beach access and our kids could have lived in the pool. Only comments would really be about the complex itself. Older complex with the stairs under repair so only way to get to the multiple levels was the elevator which got kind of old after a while and the parking spot was pretty tricky but the condo itself was great.

We had a comfortable stay in this San Diego condo. The condo itself was clean and had what we needed. Bed was comfortable and kitchen had tools needed to cook many meals. The location is great on Mission Bay near lots of restaurants and grocery strokes. The building the condo is in is a bit worn out. Not sure if they were renovating but the balconies were all torn up and boarded up. I didn’t see them doing any work on it while we were there for the week. No issues with the condo though.

Great Stay in Pacific Beach!
We stayed at the condo for Spring Break (3/19-3/26). The location is great with it being right on the beach! So many food options in walking distance. The condo worked perfectly for our 3 kids, my husband and I with a king bed in one room, 2 twin beds in the middle bedroom that also had a sink/cabinet in the room, and a pull-out couch in the living room. Kitchen worked out great for making some meals for the mornings and later evenings. Loved having the reserved, gated underground parking spot!! Parking in PB is tough, so it was nice to always have a spot that was secure to park. The unit is quiet with only being able to hear neighbors a couple times (walking above us and doors closing next to us). There are a lot of transient beach dwellers who live in their vans in the parking lot in front of the building. They aren’t particularly noisy or messy, but just there all the time smoking pot and basically just “camped out” there. Plenty of beach toys, boogie boards, beach towels, and beach chairs. There are 2 bikes for use, but we didn’t use them personally. The pool for the complex is smallish, but plenty of room for our kids to swim in. The pool is also heated which is great. The check-in/check-out process was easy and convenient. The management was friendly and responsive. The instructions and door codes for everything were easy to follow. The start-up supplies for the condo were perfect for our stay. Plenty of amenities and items to makes our stay comfortable. The condo is upgraded for the most part with updated bathroom sinks, vinyl tile in the living room and paint. One suggestion I would make is replace the carpet in the bedrooms. It is old and grungy. Overall, we loved our stay!! I would highly recommend this unit. Close to everything, plenty of space, great beach location, and good management. Thank you for a great stay! We’ll be back to PB!!

Gorgeous view and fantastic location!
We had a great time in Pacific Beach! This condo is in the perfect location - right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. The view is spectacular and we loved watching surfers all day. The condo wasn’t as clean as we would have liked. While we really appreciated the new sheets and fluffy towels, the kitchen could use a deep clean and has an ant problem. The pots, pans and dishes didn’t seem all that clean and we washed them before using (which I’ve never had to do at a VRBO stay). The bikes were awesome, our kids loved the pool, and the hot tub was closed due to COVID. This property was a good deal, but we wouldn’t stay again due to the issues listed (plus the elevator was broken for the majority of our stay).

Great beach condo!
Great price, great beach front property. Windows open all day and night with the sea breeze coming in and the sound of the waves. Very close to the SD Zoo and Sea World. Loved the bikes and beach stuff. The only partial negative is the age of the carpet in the bed rooms and the age of the kitchen. That being said I hope stay there again.

The condo itself is clean, spacious enough, and very well-appointed. The wi-fi is pretty strong, the cable is good, The place is spotless, everything is comfortable and a nice home away from home. The ocean view and breeze is outstanding, and you're literally walking distance from practically anything you could need during your stay. There are high-quality boogie boards and beach umbrellas and towels and beach toys and so on. It feels like a friend tossed you the keys to their place, and it's nice. Unfortunately we were SOL on the beach bikes because they were nowhere to be found and the management company couldn't help us with replacements, but there's a rental shop a block away. All that said, the question asks for a review of the "property" and while this condo is a jewel and a joy to visit, the property itself seems to have seen better days, But the neighbors were considerate and everything except the BBQ grill worked like it was supposed to. Now understand, you're downwind from the parking lot for the surf area of the beach, which means you're also downwind from what seems like the entirety of California's cannabis consumption, as surfers and layabouts enjoy their lifestyle, you might wonder if there's a skunk in the bushes LOL. It's all good. A great break from the heat at home.

Right on the Beach
Location location location. This condo overlooks the beach. It was wonderful to look at the view, feel the ocean breeze and listen to the waves while in the condo. And it was just steps to the beach. You don’t have to lug your beach gear very far. There is also a pool on the property. Lots of restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. It is quieter than Mission Beach but you can walk down there in a few minutes if you want to be with the crowds. The condo is older but well kept and well stocked.

Super spot right in the beach with sunset views every night. Clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the place looks tired. Kitchen needs an update. Some Drawers and doors are falling off. The pots and pans are pretty awful.

Perfect Location, Perfect Stay
My husband and I stayed for a week. The property has an amazing view and the neighborhood is very walkable. The check-in process was smooth. The property manager reached out to make sure everything ways as it should be. We plan on coming back to Pacific Beach and when we do we’d love to stay in this condo again.
