This bright and breezy beach bungalow whispers "summer" all year round and is a short walk to beaches, shops, restaurants, and weekly farmer's market (Wednesday). Your home away from home lends itself to a relaxing and fun visit, vacation, or extended-stay in the youthful and energetic city of San Diego.

The Sunset Cottage features a designer's touch, smart space planning, abundant light, and is tastefully furnished - offering all the elements of classic coastal living, inside and out. This home features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and will sleep up to 4 guests for true hospitality.

Relax and enjoy the comfortable front porch with ocean view and inviting courtyard with outdoor dining. A spacious open living room includes original oak hardwood floors, space for working remotely, 43" flat-screen smart-TV, and complimentary high-speed internet, Wi-Fi and Netflix. The bedrooms are super-comfy and bed linens are plush and cozy. The kitchen offers dining for 4, stainless-steel appliances, and is fully stocked for today's cooks and family meals. Other amenities include:

The neighborhood this rental is in is one of the cutest, pedestrian friendly and nicest neighborhoods I have ever stayed in. Rodney gave us tons of recommendations on local places. Ocean beach is a nice chill beach frequented by locals. The rental is cute and clean. On street parking. No AC which is the norm in San Diego. Several fans provided for comfort. Comfortable tempurpedic beds.

Fabulous stay!
My 2 kids (6 & 11) stayed at this lovely cottage for 5 nights and it was absolutely perfect. The vottage is perfectly located in OB, away from the bustle of the main drag, but walking distance to the cliffs and some good food. It served as our home base while we explored San Diego. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and the garden was a lovely place to spend time drinking coffee and reading. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beach house perfection
The house is perfectly located and just walking distance to town. Perfectly decorated and spotless. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The garden is spectacular and a wonderful place to gather. The host was responsive and gave great recommendations for local food and activities. We loved our stay at this special and happy little beach house and will return.

Cute bungalow, amazing location!
This bungalow is adorable and in a cute neighborhood. The weather was amazing and we we're able to walk to the beaches and downtown area of ocean beach. Easy to also drive to downtown SD. It was a quick trip, but definitely would book again :)

We had a wonderful time staying at the Sunset Cottage. The location is perfect, it is walking distance to everything in Ocean Beach. The neighborhood is friendly, and very low key. The home has been laid out very well and is very comfortable. The home had everything we needed for the week. Rodney was very easy to communicate with and stopped by a couple of times to remedy very minor issues. The only thing that surprised us about this property was the airport noise; the home is in the flight pattern for flights taking off. However, my kids loved watching the planes taking off on the beach.

We had a great time in San Diego, and the Sunset Cottage was a perfect accommodation for our family! Located in a safe, central neighbourhood, with lots of great restaurant/cafe options nearby. Adorable, well-positioned, well-decorated little house. Outstanding gardens and porch for morning coffee or evening relaxation. Host remarkably communicative. Beds comfortable. Very small bathroom, like most bungalows, but all in working order. Appliances new. All we needed was provided. Was not ready to leave.

Sweet Sunset Cottage
Great location near everything we'd planned and with easy access to downtown San Diego, and a short walk to Sunset Cliffs, the pier, and the Ocean Beach Wednesday farmers market. Be sure to check out the Olive Tree Market and Stella Jean for amazing ice cream. The cottage is comfortable, well cared for, and nicely decorated; the kitchen is small but very well equipped. The garden is amazing and the neighborhood is quiet. Thanks, Rodney for a lovely getaway!

Cozy and comfortable cottage near the cliffs
We stayed for a week at this lovely gem of a cottage. Perfect location a short walk from the ocean with fantastic views from the cliffs and bohemian Ocean Beach. We spent several evenings just relaxing and enjoying the view from the porch and living room. Fully equipped with everything you might need including all kitchen utensils. Highly recommended!

The cottage was a great base of operations for our busy weekend of adventures with our five- and eight-year-old grandsons. The cottage was clean, well equipped, and charmingly decorated. The amazing garden provided a calming respite to the bustling rhythm of our days. Our host, Rodney, could not have been more accommodating. Relaxing Stay
The house was well organized and stocked. The owner was helpful and quick to respond which we really appreciated. The garden was beautiful and definitely a highlight of the stay. My husband's only comment was the bathroom sink was difficult to use because of the size of the medicine cabinet and the small sink. Otherwise, all good.

A nice California beach town
We were impressed with the cottage and found it to be clean, comfortable, and nice to come home to after a day out. Beds were comfortable. The Ocean Beach area had good restaurants, nice beaches and especially nice garden areas. Sunset Cottage had beautiful gardens as well.
