This luxury home has a large private swimming pool & hot tub, a huge oceanfront front deck, an outdoor shower, and a backyard kitchen and dining area perfect for outdoor entertaining.

Private Swimming Pool and Hot Tub--Optional pool/hot tub heat is $99 per night with a minimum number of nights equal to the length of your stay less one day. (A 7-night stay will have a minimum optional pool/hot tub heating fee of 6 nights X $99 = $594). Optional pool/hot tub heat at the rate of $99 per day is necessary to heat the in-ground hot tubs for those in-ground pools which have in-ground hot tubs attached to the swimming pools as is the case at Villa Sunset Modern and Villa Magnifica--as the swimming pool and the hot tub are on the same plumbing and heating system. At our other homes that have above-ground self-contained spas that are not attached to swimming pools like Cabo Hermosa and Villa Bermuda Beach there is no charge for heating the above ground hot tub at either home. Likewise, our Villa Mar Vista home has no charge for heating the above-ground self-contained hot tub as the $99 per day optional pool heat fee at Villa Mar Vista only heats the in-ground pool. So, if you desire free hot tub heating, please choose our homes with an above ground self-contained hot tub which is our Villa Mar Vista home, our Villa Bermuda Beach and our Cabo Hermosa homes.

Beautiful home and setting
The house was perfect for our group with 1 exception. In spite of numerous efforts to get the pool heater working it did not work and we were disappointed that we were unable to use the pool and hot tub. The pool and hot tub were 2 reasons that we chose to stay there as the adults and especially our grandchildren were really looking forward to swimming and soaking. The host was very active in trying to get this rectified but it wasn't to be.

Perfect Location, Very Well Equipped
Gorgeous sunsets, beautiful pool and plenty of space for our family vacation! While there is not actual beach access from the house, the view from the cliffs makes up for it. Our large family of eight had plenty of room to spread out comfortably. The host was very responsive and we are looking forward to a return visit!!

Amazing!! The house, views, and location are all incredible. The home is set up great for both indoor and outdoor entertaining, and the sunsets are spectacular! The Check-in process was easy and the property manager was friendly and available throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great views needs maintenance
Perfect location and great views. However, the house is definitely in need of maintenance. Walls have marks/ gouges that need attention. Pool fence had a big hole. House smelled musty when we arrived ( as though it had been closed up for a long time) and the smell never completely went away. Shower leaked where caulking needs replacing. Joseph, the property manager responded quickly to any inquiries. Overall the views and location are great but the other issues mentioned are big enough that I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Wonderful time with family in a wonderful spot
First, Joseph is a fantastic property manager. Always responsive and helpful. The house was great- plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the views and fire pit on the front deck and the backyard and pool were great as well. We had family visiting from the midwest and while it did cost extra to have the pool heated, it was well worth it so we could enjoy the pool and spa during the 6 days we stayed at the property. We will go back again, for sure.

This property has fantastic views and plenty of space. We enjoyed playing in the pool during the day, and sunsets on the front porch with a cocktail. Our family lives all over the US, so once a year we all get together for several days. This year was Sunset Cliffs, San Diego. Comfort, convenience and a casual atmosphere are the things that are very important to our family. This property was all that - and even more! The house has an beautiful, sleek design and the number of bedrooms (including a fully-equipped guest house) was perfect for us. Our family loves to cook together and enjoy each other's company while doing so. This home had the best spaces to do both! The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking and baking (which is sometimes hard to find) and the outdoor kitchen included a wood-fired oven, which was a huge bonus for us! But most importantly was the above and beyond service from Joseph and his team. We were so well cared for that we felt as though Joseph was part of our family! And I appreciated that there was both a walk-through at the start and at the finish of our stay. Anything we needed, Joseph was both quick to respond and to take care of our needs. A major benefit while staying in a home away from home. Our stay couldn't have been any better! If we decide to venture back to San Diego, we will go out of our way to secure a property that this team manages! Thank you Joseph, Julia and Dieter for being so kind and so accommodating!

Our family had the most wonderful stay at the Villa Sunset Modern in Sunset Cliffs. The location is prime, and the sunsets, cliffs, and views are magnificent. The outside living areas are enormous and resort-like. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed (including plenty of pool towels). The property manager/host, Joseph, was very friendly, responsive and professional. The property and experience were exactly what we expected based on the prior reviews. We look forward to our next stay!

Memorable and fun!
I am in full agreement with other reviews that the property management is very friendly, professional and responsive when something needed to be addressed. One instance involved a baby seagull that fell from its nest and we were all concerned about its welfare. Joseph called Sea World for us and they were very quick to rescue the little guy, which eased the hearts of the children in our group. This particular location was ideal for our three-generation family, with enough space to afford people privacy when needed, but great for gathering together as well. The ocean views and gorgeous sunsets offset the minor things that could have been better. There is a great deal of street activity because it’s such a perfect spot for early morning surfers, joggers, dog walkers, weddings, etc., all enjoyable to watch from the amazing two-level deck. Our overall experience, was delightful and we are seriously thinking about returning next year.

Family vacay - amazing property and host!
The property is exactly as shown. Our host, Joseph, was awesome. He met us at check-in and helped with our grocery delivery that arrived before we did. Oops. He showed us around and helped us get acquainted with the property and how everything worked. I forgot how to work the pool temp so he quickly came over the next day to help me out. He was very attentive and willing to answer my questions and help with anything we needed. The views are amazing. It is the prime spot on Sunset Cliffs. We saw a wedding or proposal every day. The sunsets are incredible and you can watch from inside the home or the front porch. We sat by the fire pit most nights to enjoy the sunsets. The home was perfect for our large family. Joseph was kind to accommodate all of us. The casita was a bonus. Everything worked well. The appliances are high end and the home is well appointed. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans, etc. You'll need your own spices but we expected that. The home was clean and ready for us to enjoy. The recommendations for local places to eat and shop were perfect. Phil's BBQ was fantastic. The pool was a favorite. We opted to heat it which was perfect because the spa/jacuzzi is attached to the pool. The kids loved being able to swim in and out of the spa. The home gets warm in the evenings because of the large windows. We just opened the doors and let the cool ocean breeze cool us off. There are fans as well if needed. Thanks for hosting us and sharing your beautiful ocean front home with us. Our kids and grandkids are still posting about the fun we had. We hope to return again. It was a perfect vacation.
