Was great location, kids loved it and want to go back again. We liked the pool and lounge chairs at pool by the boardwalk (not boards you know what I mean) then from the door to walk out your 10’from the beach and 100 yards from ocean

We loved The Wayfarer! Blaise at the front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. The room was beautiful. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! We loved the partial ocean view! The pool and hot tub were fantastic. Access to the beach just steps away and the convenience of parking and beach rentals were unmatched! Highly recommend and hope to return!

My room was in the pool deck which was fantastic. You have a reserved chair right outside your room if you are the pool deck. The beach is just steps away. You can also rent bike and boogie board, etc from the hotel. I would definitely stay again! Very close to LaJolla and Downtown. Pretty much everything was under a 20 minute drive with traffic. You were guaranteed a parking space which was fantastic.

The room was very clean, and the pool area was beautiful and looked out onto the ocean. Excellent location, close to everything, and very helpful and kind management and staff! breakfast options were so affordable and loved the bike rental.

The rooms are extremely old and have a very unpleasant smell. The carpet is very old and looks worn out. The bathrooms flood when you shower because of the way they are built, and Wayfarer is aware of this issue but doesn’t seem to care. They also have a sewer problem because the water doesn’t drain properly when you shower, which is quite gross. The balcony is very unpleasant and outdated. The blinds are moldy and falling apart. They said the pool is heated, but it was freezing. The lady who checked us in had a terrible attitude. Overall, this place is horrible.

Hidden gem! Perfect location on the beach, pool and not-gross hot tub. Easy access to the best restaurants in Pacific Beach and convenient surf lessons right there on the beach! Board walk along beach felt safe and offered great vibe day and night. Hotel staff was amazing, cleaned room and fresh towels daily. Parking was easy. Stayed with 2 teen boys who loved the area, surfing, boogie boarding and great food nearby. Highly recommend this hotel!

The view was gorgeous & the staff were all very kind...however, the smell of the room was horrible. It smelled like mold and mildew. The smell seeped into the pillows as well which smelled like feet. Walking into the room and laying on the pillows was overwhelming. My stay was not very comfortable.The carpet made my ankles and legs itch. The hotel needs to remove that carpet. The power went out during my stay as well. I tripped over the side of the bed and hurt my ankle. Grateful i didnt land on the carpet though. The walls are paper thin so you can expect to hear the conversations from others...shame, the view is breathtaking. I hope they upgrade the hotel soon. Shout out to the staff for doing there best! You can tell they are hard working folks.
