We were booked on the wrong date, I rebooked thru the main desk for 0ct 6 instead of Oct 5. I was on the phone for 2 hours, we need a refund, very upsetting we couldn’t get anyone to help us yesterday, late when we realized it. It’s our 40th anniversary and we have stayed many years. Hotels.com needed to reach out to us after being bounced around on the phone to many different people with no resolve.

It’s an OK hotel. For the money, you expect more attentive customer service, more “frills” and for the hotel to make you feel special and want to come back. Sadly the Fairmont ticks none of these boxes. It is however a functional hotel, but for the money I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Historic hotel in a nice part of SF, easily walkable to central areas, close to cable cars which can easily take you further quickly. Safe area. Some parts of the room were a little tired but I think that comes with the overall age of the property
