Bonjour, nous avons été très déçues du service offert lors de notre arrivée du 31 décembre. Le monsieur à la réception nous a dit que nous n'avions pas réservé pour une chambre avec deux lit, ce qui était faux. Je lui ai montré la preuve de ma réservation. Il a même appelé Expédia qui a confirmé la même chose. Il m'a dit qu'il y avait une erreur sur le site Internet. Il noud a offert un petit lit pour un troisième adulte qui n'était pas confortable du tout. Nous n'étions pas les seuls à avoir ce problème... Nous avons entendu trois histoires semblables le soir même et le lendemain. Il nous a changé de chambre dès le lendemain matin pour se rendre compte que celle-ci avec deux lits était restée vide toute la nuit, car il faisait 50 à notre arrivée vers 10h. De plus, la première chambre qui nous avait été attribuée, la salle de bain n'avait pas été nettoyée...Nous avons dû changer de chambre le soir de notre arrivée. Comme compensassions, nous n'avons eu qu'un petit déjeuner. Nous avons donc eu un très mauvais service à l'arrivée, car il restait une chambre avec deux lits de disponible. J'espère le problème avec Expédia sera réglé très bientôt. Nous avons eu un bon service par la suite par d'autres personnes à la réception. L'hôtel est très belle et bien réaménagée au goût du jour.

Pros: Clean room, good closet space, nice shower, big tv, common areas smelled good, always saw security, comfy beds, lovely AC/Heat unit Cons: No internet connection anywhere, elevator was always in use, small sink. The area is definitely what you would expect in a larger city. One block too much = sketchy. But the nearby food places are great! Great corner stores. Parking garage down the street kept our car for $40 a night and was safe. There is a bar but never saw it open.

Stay at Hotel Julian in SF
The location was downtown San Francisco, walking distance from restaurants, and public transportation. We had breakfast at the pub on the corner from the hotel, and dinner at the Korean restaurant another block away. The coolest thing about the hotel is Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window was filmed there, and looking up or down the iconic staircase. Oh let's not forget the price was great!

Bad Stay for the Kind and Understanding Customer
Executive Suite- I usually don’t leave reviews, let alone bad ones, but the experience I had at Hotel Julian wasn’t as good as the reviews cracked up to be. I booked myself a room for 2 nights through Hotels.com at Hotel Julian. Things went smoothly checking in, and I was looking forward to a positive experience because all first impressions were good! The building is a bit rickety, but it didn’t bother me, as I knew the rooms would be better! Upon entering my checked-in room, I was hit with the stench of bleach. Being an optimist, I decided that I would air out the room by opening the windows, putting on the fan, etc.- no luck. Only until did my throat and nose started burning that I decided to call the front desk and ask to change the room. They were very accommodating and assigned me to a separate room. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience in the new room I was in. The chemical smell had improved, but if I breathed in deep, I could feel it burn my throat. I went back and forth with myself to decide whether it was worth calling, until I realized there was no other choice (for my health, safety, and comfort) to change rooms. I decided to call the front-desk and ask for a possible refund or if there was a way we can find a solution to being placed in rooms that might have a similar smell. I Was Wow'd
The new remodel is excellent. What a little hidden gem. I was surprised to find this hotel and for such a great price! My room was big and the king size bed was so so comfy. The bathroom remodel was top notch. And everyone at the hotel was gracious and attentive. There's even a cool bar off the lobby where I asked the bartender if he could make me a Manhattan. Not only was he friendly and helpful, he served up one of the best rye Manhattans I've had in a while.
