The hotel is old and a bit musty. I do love the over the top furnishings and decorative details but there were many small details that could be improved upon. The toilet didn’t flush well. The window covering lowering chains were all mostly broken, the tub rocked when you were in it.

Property location was great for event we attended and the staff were top notch extraordinary. Here are the downsides: One tv remote was missing batteries but staff brought new ones, one tv didn't work but staff got it fixed, the smoke detector was ready to fall off the ceiling, one lamp didn't work because it was missing a turn on screw, bathroom curtain should be longer, we site says room service but we were told there is none and there is no mentor microwave but I say one on lower level by bathrooms and it would have been helpful.

If you’re into neat and old, quirky hotels with a lot of character then Hotel Majestic is the one. Unique Edwardian-style lobby and rooms with a certain opulence and mystique that adds to its overall charm. The beds, room, and bathroom were actually quite clean for an older hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast and bottled water which are nice amenities. Only drawback was the shower water pressure was very weak, but it was still possible to take a shower. Would definitely stay here again and recommend, especially considering its convenient location in downtown SF.

Hotel Majestic
Our stay was excellent and the front desk staff was extremely helpful with any questions we had. Butterfly room and continental breakfast were great as well. Highly recommend the Majestic.
