Hotel staff were excellent. Next door hotel guest became belligerent and irate in the wee hours of the morning and unfortunately I had zero rest. The walls literally feel paper thin bc I could hear their TV. Our room was also facing the street (SF Port parking area) and semi-trucks were super loud. I hope this review helps in making your decision to stay at Luma.

Great place to stay when going to Chase Center or Oracle park. Very reasonably priced considering it is only 4 blocks from Chase center. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was ready to help and rooms were decent. Would definitely stay again

Check in went well and room was nice. However, I spoke with the front desk about the room not cooling and he said someone would correct the issue. No one did and we were quite uncomfortable throughout the evening. In addition, the bathroom lighting is extremely dim. Lately, we stood and waited for the outside elevator to take us to the restaurant/lounge. We pressed the button several times and waited patiently. I then went to go into the lobby to ask about the elevator and the valet team told us that the lounge didn’t open for another hour. They had stood and watched us for quite some time yet no one mentioned it was closed and there are no signs with any information on hours. It was very frustrating.

The area in Mission Bay is safe and clean and a stark contrast to downtown Union Square area. The hotel is good and walkable to SOMA and the financial district. It’s close to the Chase Centre and to Oracle Park as well. This will be my go to property going forward.

Nice hotel all in all. Nice room accommodations. Our one complaint was the automated blinds and shades malfunctioned alot, especially the one between the glass panel in between the room and bathroom. Very expensive parking. Cavana rooftop bar is Latin inspired, very limited menu and quirky drink options, unfriendly host. Location has close proximity to oracle park but very limited amenities and dining options close by otherwise - expect to drive 5-10 minutes from hotel.
