Great location but unpleasant host
The location is great and the apartment is nice but the owner is unpleasant. The property was filthy on check in and required deep cleaning--pine needles from Christmas still on the carpets, dustballs under the beds and on every cabinet, pictures needing to be hung on walls, floors in need of mopping. Basics such as mop and bucket, vaccuum, were not provided and she complained and took several days to provide them when asked.
The oven had so much food debris in it that it set off the fire alarm the first time I used it. The response--"its a self cleaning oven, of course it isn't dirty"
There was no glassware of any kind in the apartment, just 4 cheap plastic cups. She ordered some when asked, but for all of the other missing basics she complained repeatedly: can opener, bottle opener, wine opener, more bowls (there were only 2), roasting pan ("my guests don't cook, they eat out"). So much was missing that I gave up and just bought it myself. I was there for 99 nights.
She smeared the feces of one of her dogs on the windshield of my sister's car when she came to visit and made the mistake of parking in front of the driveway while unloading her suitcase.
She barraged me with text messages saying that I had thrown out her mail, calling me a liar, and had ruined her financial life, all before discovering later that same day that it was her upstairs neighbor who had her mail.
Post checkout she asked for money to pay for heating which is included in the rate.
