Conveniently located just up the hill from the Saturday market, bus station, visitor centre, local travel agencies and great restaurants. Reasonably priced so you can spend your money on great food instead. Simple but good breakfast of coffe, tea, fresh local fruit, toast, PB and J. Lovely balconies overlooking the town of San Ignacio. Just up the hill is an excellent educational centre based on the production of chocolate and further up is the Mayan ruin of Cahal Pech, very well exhibited, clean and if you arrive before 9 am you will have all to yourself before the tours arrive. The guest house has a small restaurant which serves surprisingly good local fare. The staff are helpful , can arrange tours and are very friendly. We stayed 4 nights in an air conditioned room. With good beds and a good shower with new towels when requested. Not fancy but a good place to rest after a day’s exploring. Thank you Annie and family!
