Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge and Manon gave us rides to and from the lodge each morning and evening. We had a great time and enjoyed being outside of the city and listening to the birds.
We stayed for a one night getaway and it was absolutely perfect! The setting is so quiet and peaceful and private. Woke up to beautiful bird sounds and parrots flying overhead. Enjoyed our coffee on the porch while it rained! Wonderful luxury down pillows and bedding and bathroom was great as well! Christelle was so kind and welcomed us in and showed us to our cabana! Wonderful setting. Highly recommend! :)
