Very hospitable and kind people! We loved it!
Gardens house was fantastic! They were super nice and very hospitable. For a small price, they even made us dinner which was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend staying at Gardens house if you need a simple place to sleep near the airport. The front and back areas were filled with beautiful plants and there was a hammock which was nice!

Really wonderful hostel run by a lovely family. I stayed in a single room. It’s no frills for sure but that’s what I paid for. Everyone was super friendly and the family will drink with you at the kitchen table. Highly recommend, would stay here again. It was a short walk to downtown alhuela and the hostel itself is in a gated community of sorts. It all felt very safe.

Absolutely wonderful staff. They cooked a delicious vegetarian meal for me at a very cheap price and drove me to the airport at 4:30am for a very good price as well. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Location was in a safe neighborhood. Highly recommend!

A very clean room for both of us. Breakfast was good. All the staff were very friendly, although we came almost midnight from the airport, the young lady at the front desk was very kind. We left in a hurry to catch the bus to Puerto Jimenez, my sister in law left her phone in the room. The owner drove to our taxi and caught us in time. Thank you very much for a wonderful service. We will be back there again in a week.

It is an excellent Hostel to stay in if you are looking for a quiet location and tranquil hostel that has a lovely little garden to relax in before or after a long flight. It is NOT a party place and does not have a bar. It is reasonably close to the International Airport. The mattress and other items were basic but clean and comfortable. Only the TV in the room was not working well. The woman was kind enough to make me a scrambled egg and piece of toast in the morning, as I did not want to eat rice and beans before travelling on the bus.
