The people there are very sweet very honest the parking is very private close door all the way. Many places to eat around walking distance 2 or 3 minutes away
The rooms were perfect for our family! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great to have the rental car put in their gated parking lot. The breakfast was great! There is a cute park across the street and many stores and restaurants in the area. It was nice to not be in a touristy area. There were some panhandlers that were a bit pestering in the park when walking, but it was great to have a authentic city experience in Costa Rica. The people in the area businesses were all very friendly.
Our one night stay was nice before boarding out early the next day. Everyone was nice and made sure we had everything we need. We even got the chance to walk in the park.
Room was very comfortable with AC, flat screen tv, mini fridge...excellent free breakfast at attached restaurant. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. You do need to request a room with AC otherwise you get a fan. AC was an additional $9 per night.
Great and friendly staff and service. I Left too early for complimentary breakfast so they made me a sandwich to take at 3:30 AM. Very comfortable bed.
They neighbourhood was quiet and safe.
Make sure you get an ac room because none of the rooms have windows to the outside, and they are very stuffy. But the ac room is fantastic, clean, well maintained and with great hot water pressure! The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast that’s included is yummy. The shuttle to the airport takes 5-7 minutes and costs $6.
They called daily to ask if I wanted room cleaned. Once I said yes and they did a no show. Staff were pretty nice. Food in area was poor chooses. They kept things tidy and secure. Good budget hotel. They need thicker windows in room as noise was easy to come through.
Super nice staff. Comfortable. Very convenient to SJO airport ($3 uber ride, $10 in regular orange taxi), excellent breakfast and convenient to food and other services in Alajuela.
Stayed here for a night before heading on to La Fortuna. The hotel was nice, the staff were friendly, and they feed you an authentic Costa Rican breakfast the next morning.
Traffic in Alajuela is very heavy, so just park on the sidewalk in front of the hotel when you arrive. The desk can then open the gate to to parking lot and you can pull your car in there.
Alajuela is VERY non touristy- meaning you get to see what Costa Rican culture is really like. Spending an afternoon wandering Alajuela's streets and eating with the locals you see a side of Costa Rica more authentic than if you only stay at the popular tourist destinations.

Very small
First when I called they gave me bad directions on how to park, second when I did it was very small place to park, when you get out you have drive backwards too the street in a busy street very crazy and scary situation! Now the room. Very small with only a ceiling fan very hot inside not a great night of sleep for me!
By the time we landed in San Jose and picked up our rental car it was around 11pm. We drove to Alajuela and the little town seemed shut down, bars on windows, lights off. We tried to feel hopeful on the way to Eskalima but we were left disappointed and confused. No lights to indicate it was open and all the bars were closed. We felt uncomfortable in the neighbourhood and were unaware there was a doorbell we were supposed to ring to be let in. We chose to stay elsewhere.

room was tiny but clean. a/c was fine. but asked for a room on the first floor as there were several with the doors open and empty, clean and ready to go. I check in with 3 bags a cane and a prophetic leg and ask for ground floor. they proceed to put me on the 3rd floor and no elevator. then they state on page that there is an airport shuttle which there is not. not a happy disabled guy...
If you like to experience the real action of Costa Ricans, this is the place where you should stay. The hotel is in the center of the city. A lot of interactions going on. The market is in walking distance, the park, the so many stores and businesses, the restaurants and not to forget this is close to the airport. Their parking lot is next to the hotel building and we felt that the guests are very secured. Although a bit noisy because it is in the city, we felt there is peace in staying there.
Some of the most helpful staff you will find anywhere. Excellent breakfast and when I left early on my last day they prepared sandwiches for me to take with me. They also were very helpful in storing a bag for me when i went traveling for a week. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the bus station if you are using buses and there's a great restaurant diagonally opposite on the other side of the park which faces the hotel. Lot of shops cafes and restaurants in walking distance. The rooms were decent and clean and overall it was a great experience whether you are staying a few days or just staying overnight to use the airport, which is very close. There's also a free car-park on site.
I had a great experience here. Nice clean place. The towels were crap. They were so accommodating. I had a really early flight and they had breakfast ready for me a 4am. Love the people.
Needed to book a quick hotel at a moment's notice when our flight home was cancelled due to volcanic ash. We booked at noon and arrived shortly afterwards. The staff allowed us to check-in early which saved our butts since we didn't want to be walking around for a couple hours with all our luggage. Our dilemma was that our new flight was scheduled at 1am the following morning - but had the potential to ALSO be cancelled if the volcano hadn't calmed down a bit, so we asked the staff if it were possible to leave our set of keys with the front desk, and check-out over the phone at the airport once we had official word the flight was actually going to leave. If that flight was cancelled as well, then we'd just come back to the hotel and spend the night. Luckily we finally boarded at 12:30am and I was able to call back and release the room. I can only imagine how stressed we would have been if the staff had not been so accommodating. Also - my Spanish is pretty basic, but both staff members spoke English very well - there was no issue with communication.
Ad listed gym being available - no such thing, which was a disappointment. Single bed room was very small. Convenient common areas to sit and talk/relax. Walking distance to good food/coffee shops. Secured parking area, although it is a pain to get in and out of.
Central city convenience and secure parking but many issues with our stay. Somehow got a room without AC when I was booking the room, pretty sure it wasn't my oversight but the manager on duty did get us switched to a room with AC. Free airport shuttle as advertised misleading as after the booking it is indicated that the shuttle is not free unless included in the fees when you booked the hotel, but this option was not given. $10 cost when we were brought to the airport. Shower leaked like a sieve practically flooding the bathroom floor and the water actually got beneath the bathroom walls and into the living area. This issue was brought to the attention of the manager upon our checkout. The secure parking area next door and the breakfast provided were the best parts of the stay.
The wifi was pretty spotty and a chatty gentleman prevented me from enjoying the beautiful tables set up outside the rooms on the ground level, but overall I think this would be a great landing pad for exploring the city. There are buses nearby, it's close enough to the airport to catch a cheap cab or Uber, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
