The hotel is on one of the busiest roads in San Jose and planes take off directly above you. Sleep was near impossible. That coupled with the cockroach at the restaurant and an ant invasion on the bathroom counter in the morning made for a terrible experience. Pay the extra money and go around the corner to any of the other hotel chains.

Cest un bel endroit pour une journee tampon a larrive au costa rica et au depart du costa rica. Le staff est super gentil et aidant ... le resto pour les desjeuner et souper offres une belle qualite et variete de repas. Pour nous sa ete parfait. Oui on entend les avions atterrir et s'envoler mais durant la nuits il ny a pas de vol.

You are by the airport and a busy traffic area so is noisy. But you live with that. The place is fairly priced. Food limited but quite good. I have and will stay again.

Perfect for easy access to the airport although (like any airport hotel) that does mean hearing the planes. But the atmosphere makes up for that. The garden & pool area are great for relaxing - same for the restaurant. The people are wonderful, so friendly & helpful when I need directions or to find a shop nearby. I’ve stayed several times & will always go back!

This hotel was recommended to me by someone I met in Costa Rica. It is really close to the airport, in fact you can see the airport from the property. However, no one wants to drive you to Hotel Mango, and by this I mean taxi drivers, due to the horrible traffic. I stood in front of the airport for two hours while it poured rain, asking taxi drivers to take me there - some wanted $20 but still said NO. I tried to set up Uber ride, but Uber pinpointed my location incorrectly and so I cancelled Uber. Finally one taxi driver who had other customers took me. I had to wait for 30 min for some reason when he dropped them off. But I finally got to the hotel. The room was lovely, large and with a large window that looked at a beautiful pool. but by this time it was dark and I was starving and it was pouring. The restauranant and bar on premises was wonderful. I sat at the bar and got a delicious pizza and watched the torrential rains and flooding on TV. Next morning I got a shuttle TO the airport at 5am, so had to miss the hot breakfast that was included. The hotel employees I interacted with, from checkin to bartender to morning "jack of all trades" were all wonderful. Would I go there again, NO, for reasons described. That they provide NO airport-to-hotel shuttle is ridiculous.

The pictures looked good and the location seemed convenient as they offered airport shuttle service... sort of. Be aware they do not offer airport pick up, only drop off by a taxi. Also, bring your noise cancelling earplugs... airplanes booming until after midnight , trucks and motorcycles all night long... ask for a pool view room... they gave me probably the worst one... never going back!
