What a beautiful no frills boutique hotel centrally located between beaches, artsy districts, and a bus ride away from Old San Juan. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but a homey family run accommodation with beautiful surrounding plant life a pool and balcony to spend your warm nights. I would stay here again.

A great spot to unwind after my cruise. An easy walk to great restaurants & cafes. An short walk to the beach. Wonderful pool area and access to the pool at their sister resort. Staff was helpful with bags and dining suggestions. Relaxing!

My wife and i enjoyed our stay at wind chimes. It was in an excellent location with very close walks to the beach and many good restaurants. Our room was uniquely and appropriately furnished and my wife thought the grounds of the hotel were very cute. My only conplaint was that we had to park several blocks away from the hotel for our stay.

At the Wind chill & relaxing

I wanted to stay in a small hotel that could have a quiet , chill, walking distance the beach, restaurants and in a reasonable amount . I am glad that I stayed here. It provided all that. I didn’t worry about parking since I just focus on Uber and Taxi for this stay. Since this property doesn’t have parking, is better to not worry about renting a car for the time that I stay in this hotel. I like the privacy, the location and amenities that the hotels provided . The room provided full kitchen, a king bed, the bathroom a bit small but still has hot shower. The pool was my chill spot and outside areas. The hotel could use some updating but being a small hotel I know that can take time specially with economic challenges for small businesses. But I would return to the property. All the staff that I interact was pleasant and friendly. However, I wanted to provide 5star treatment by Ricardo ( front desk) He is a master of his craft in what is excellent customer service. He provided great suggestions for food, very professional and knowledgeable of the area. Muchas gracias Ricardo. Att 103 room Rodriguez

In all honesty, there were a lot of reviews that made us slightly hesitant towards this hotel. When we got there, however, all of this dissipated and we discovered an amazing hotel. It close proxemity to the beach is it's top selling point, with the walk there being less than 5 minutes. We were greeted with friendly faces, helpful tips about travelling around the island, and overall good vibes. The room was perfect for what we needed. The sheets were clean, so was the bathroom. A lot of people mentioned smelling humidity, we never had that problem. It was exactly what we needed: a place to sleep and shower while we explored the island. The parking was fairly easy, with a spot always open by the side of the hotel. Everything is extremely walkable, with various restaurants and grocery shops next to the hotel (including one that's open 24 hours!) We always felt safe and welcome, and all the guests were kind, respectful and very friendly!

We had a wonderful stay At Wind Chimes. It has great character and the location is superb. We stayed in a King room. It had a small kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. Very nice surprise. The staff was great at offering recommendations for walkable restaurants and shopping. Once through the gate, you feel as if you're in a self contained small resort. Note, the bar is no longer operating. We went and got some drinks and enjoyed them by the bar. We got to meet some really nice people from all over. The beach is a short walk. They'll even let you use beach towels. Highly recommend At Wind Chimes if you are looking for a historic hotel with loads of character.

Other than great staff, the hotel was awful. The WiFi doesn’t work, there was no outlets in the bathroom, along with no solid door to the bathroom, you could hear everything. There was a literal window that I can see through while in the bathroom, along with mold on the ceiling. I was sad about no blow dryer or fridge, but even more disappointed that not one night did we have dry walls in the bathroom or main room due to the slotted shower door. It made everything uncomfortably wet and our clothes never dried. With one blanket and three pillows for two people for 7 days, it was a good location but at the cost of losing our basic necessities. Overall, bathroom privacy and WiFi were the two greatest challenges that we had the entire time we were there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can't agree with many of the criticisms other reviewers had -- there were always 2-3 staff on hand to help, the tv always worked, the room was in good condition. Yes, it's worn around the edges but they work hard to keep everything clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. There is street noise but nothing that gave us trouble. Superb location to beach and dining/drinking options. Never did we not feel safe in the neighborhood. Thank you, Wind Chimes, for a fantastic stay for our vacation!
