The check-in was nice and the unlimited drinks were good however they did not put enough alcohol so we had to keep getting a lot more drinks. The rooms were dirty. The garbage cans were tiny and the towels were not clean sheets had blood stains on it and they never changed or cleaned them

The location can’t be beat, staff was so friendly and our room had a surprise juliet balcony overlooking Old San Juan. Love the historic features, rooftop, and open bar!!

Great stay! Stayed 7 nights. The staff was amazing! Loved the adults only open bar 24/7, they have a great house passion fruit drink, must stay, but dont overbook it because I want to come back 😊

The wife and I stayed here celebrating our anniversary. Staff was top notch. Unlimited open bar was definitely a plus. Well air conditioned. Definitely recommend.

I had the greatest time at the El colonial. The staff is the best part of the El colonial. Juan and Christian were amazing and attended to all of me and my wife’s needs. I will make my duty to traditionally come back to the El Colonial.

Our stay at El Colonial was wonderful. The staff are kind and very helpful. Since this is a VIP access hotel we received a free bottle of sparkling wine upon check-in. They also offer a free drinks bar which was amazing. My husband and I booked the Exclusive Room which was at the top floor. This hotel is a walk up with no elevator but we don't mind that. Our bed was comfy, air conditioner worked well, and the shower was great The outdoor private bathtub and shower was a delightful luxury. It was a great view and pretty private up there since the opposite building is a church. The area felt safe to us and the noise level on the street was only sometimes noisy on Thursday and Friday night. The only issues we had with the room on our trip was with the door's lock had malfunctioned. When we told the front desk, the staff worked on it straight away figuring out the problem with the battery compartment and fixed the lock while we were there. They even made it up to us with yet another free bottle of sparkling wine. Any issues we had they offer calling the front desk, sms, and mainly messaging through Whatsapp. All in all the staff really helped us a lot and are very accommodating. A My husband and I would definitely stay here again in Old San Juan.

We loved our stay at El Colonial. The check-in was relaxed and flawless and we were greeted with a drink. The balcony with outside tub and shower and a generous seating area was our favorite part of our stay and we loved being on the fourth floor because of the view of Old San Juan. The staff was super friendly, efficient and helpful. Free coffee, water, wine, beer and rum for the final win. Lovely and in a walkable and great area.

Everything was perfect, especially the bartender and the front desk agents.The only thing is that you have to put toilet paper in the garbage can instead of flushing it down the toilet other than that, it was perfect especially the staff very friendly and professional make you feel at home. I recommend anybody to stay in San Juan.
