Rooms are dated and very dark. Most of the Staff was not very service oriented; although a few were very gracious. I’ve been coming here for 50 years, since I was a little boy. It has lost its luxurious ambiance that it once had.

First time taking time out of my day to write a review. Simply put DO NOT stay at this property. Let start out by saying for about $1,000 per night (resort fees included) you’re getting a holiday inn experience at best. The hallways to the room were dirty. Looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all weekend. The room was subpar, water damaged furniture, water damaged door, dirty carpets. Felt like I staying at a 2 start hotel in the middle of Oklahoma. By the way I had 2 rooms and the same applies for both rooms. Moving on; heard the cleaning staff saying racist remarks about some guests that had stayed down the hall from us (They didn’t realize we were walking behind them in the hall on the way to the room). When they saw us they got nervous as one tells the other in Spanish “I don’t think they speak Spanish” (we do). The following day as we were making our way to the pool area the security staff stopped us to make sure we had some sort of proof we were staying at the resort which we did and showed them, as we were walking away one of them says “it’s because they’re from (insert country)”. I confronted him about it which then he started stuttering and said they were checking because they had people from the island attempting to sneak in to get some free pool time. Anyway, property is outdated, worn and worth $150 per night at best which is far from its current price. We love Puerto Rico and have visited more than 10 times however will NEVER step foot on this property.

Hotel was clean. Great location. Great beach. Lots of restaurants and shopping around. Weekend music entertainment was great. Bartenders were friendly and drinks were good. Did not eat at hotel.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! It has everything anyone could want. It's right on the beach, has lots of pools , bars a swim up bar, plenty of outdoor lounge chairs and umbrellas, lots of staff to get drinks and food and towels for you. Lots of shops, restaurants and a casino in the hotel. The only thing that would have made it better, we should have booked a room with full ocean view and a balcony. We got partial Ocean view and no balcony. Our house keeper was amazing, her name was Maria on the 7th floor. She always made sure we had plenty of towels and espresso. ( No coffee maker in the room, just got tea and espresso maker). Please remember to tip your housekeeper. They do an excellent job and keep your things safe and clean. There is a safe and mini fridge, but no microwave in the room . We were there to celebrate my daughter's 50th birthday. We checked in Oct 21 and her birthday was the 22cond. On that day while we were out at the beach, we came back to a SURPRISE AND MYSTERY slice of chocolate cake decorated beautifully with 4 accompanying cookies! We still don't know which hotel staff was responsible for this, but it was a complete delight that we were not charged for! The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful and made dinner suggestions and reservations . Not related to hotel but I DO NOT recommend the Rainforest and waterslide tour. It's a treacherous climb! Only for athletes! Not for the over 50 crowd!
