Overall, this property is a good value with friendly service, and is in a very convenient location. Rooms are pleasant and have been partially renovated. Windows, however, are badly in need of replacement: broken screens & fixtures—plus they are so flimsy that they block neither cold nor the incessant noise from the adjacent freeway. Very loud.

You should consider removing this hotel from your list -- not up to standards of hotels.com we have come to expect. The breakfast advertised was scant (no yogurt, no cereal, no eggs -- only waffle-making, pkg'd pastry and toast). There was no coffee maker in the room. The hotel's exterior was shabby, given the neighborhood in San Marcos.

Stay was ok, a lot of traffic noice BUT it’s next to the freeway so I get that, bed surprisingly was comfortable, everything was aged looking. What concerned me was when we went done for their continental breakfast, they was a trail of ants on the counter tops, we informed front desk, he cane around, got a rag, swiped once on the counter top and left. The trail of ants was still there that lead to the ground not sure where it ended but we didn’t stay to have breakfast there.
