2 bedroom on the beach located walking distance from nice restaurants and bars! Also have a dock in front for pickups for all snorkelling,fishing and diving! Home has 3 beds, airconditioning, full kitchen, wifi,hot and cold water, spacious veranda with hammock overlooking the Caribbean Sea!! Will book all trips for you! We are a great place for families, since the Sea is footsteps away for kids to play! Golf cart traffic only on our beach

the best location ever!
Jose's apartment is a fabulous location right on the beach across from an excellent pier restaurant...Cool Beans and a dive shop...Chuck and Robbies. It is clean. We slept good and the air worked perfectly. The pictures on the site are not updated so we had a moment of concern when we walked up and saw a washer and dryer on the porch with other clutter but we overlooked all this because the location is so perfect and Jose is a great host. We would stay again.

Fantastic rental!
First of all, Jaime really understands the stress tourists might have when coming to San Pedro, so he arranges all the transportation from the airport to his house. A taxi was waiting for r us outside the airport, the driver gave us our water taxi tickets, and Jaime came with his friend/helper Sparky to pick us up at the water taxi terminal with his 2 golf carts (we're a family of 5). At first I thought I didn't need all of that, but in the end I absolutely loved it, it was the best arrival we could get. Easy peasy!About the place, it might not be a 5 star hotel but the house was clean and functional. We had a problem with the water dispenser and they took care of it right away. We felt really safe in this house, I would have let the door unlocked without fear. The people I met there (Jaime's family and friends, Martin the long-term rental neighbour) will share everything and help everyone, I can confidently say they are genuinely good people.You will see them a lot if you spend time on the couch just outside the house!The tree right in front is really big and it provides shade around the yard, paired with the ocean breeze it allowed us to cool down whenever we came back after an activity.Overall I am more than happy and would gladly stay again if I ever come back to Belize. I made local friends and will miss them! Thanks Jaime!

Description says newly remodeled but we have several photos we took and it hasn’t been remodeled, updated or cleaned in a very long time. Pictures featured on website do not depict the actual state of the property. The description stated a hammock on property. There was no hammock, outdoor furniture old and worn. Water never got hot and we had to take luke warm showers daily, Freezer smelled like fish, dogs barked all night. The yard looked like a junkyard with old tattered furniture, we had to step around dog poop on our way out of the yard. The dryer didn’t heat, it looked like the heating element was going to catch fire. Owner came in while we were sleeping at property, opened the bedroom door, turned the light on, and took a tv out of the room. When owner was approached he said he knocked several times and no one answered so he came in because someone was going to “fix” the tv. When actually the tv was set up outside next to our unit and a group of men, including the owner were watching a soccer game. The only positive thing regarding the property was location and the owners quick response. Please inquire about photos of the property. I would love to share.

Home away from home
If your staying in San Pedro then Jamie house is where to be. We felt so welcomed with Jaime, and son and his friends. They treated us like we knew each other. The location was perfect, with the views and restaurants all along the street. Everything was a good walking distance from eachother, but Jamie does rent out his golf cart which is the best thing to do. Jamie even picked us up and dropped us off at the water taxi. We loved everything and everyone at this location. It was such a good vibe. Not to mention there a bar next door with super friendly people. We will see you again soon Jamie.

Great location, clean property, good value
First, Jose was an exceptional, responsive host. He picked us up at the ferry dock, arranged a golf cart and arranged snorkeling tours for us. The property was central and had everything we needed. Good for families. We really weren’t there much, because there’s so much to do. We love Belize and the friendly people and we hope to come back soon!

The location is incredible. Just north of town and right by many docks with great places to play and relax. Jose is very friendly, kind and helpful. He picked us up at the water taxi, and dropped us off when it was sadly time to leave. The front porch And courtyard on the beach were amazing, and he has dogs that we adored. Great spot, simple and just what we wanted.

Great ocean front spot!
Great place, ocean front with a pleasant patio to sit outside and enjoy the breeze! Close to town, restaurants and anything you could need. Well equipped with new mini split a/c units, water machine and nice kitchen. Reach out to the host, before check in. He will come collect you and make sure you are checked in! I would stay again!

Jose and Jaimie took excellent care of us at their House by the Beach. Jose met us at the airport in San Pedro even though we were later than expected and made sure that we got back to the San Pedro airport when we were leaving. Jose got us a golfcart for the day when we went to Secret Beach. Just very accommodating at every turn. Jaimie was looking to get us out snorkeling, but the weather and wind did not cooperate, but he gave us valuable information regarding San Pedro, Belize, the weather. We had a great time staying at their property.

Wonderful property with a perfect host
We stayed for two weeks with my family, and really enjoyed our vacation at José's apartment. He has been an excellent host and helped us with everything and gave us very good recommendations regarding diving, tours and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed. The neighborhood is very nice, and you're in walking distance to almost everything. For everything else we used the golf cart we rented from José. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again when coming back. Thank you, José!

Incredible location!
Our host met us and guided us to where we could park. He showed us around the house and gave us great food recommendations. Very communicative and fast to respond! Our host and his family went above and beyond to give us the best stay and experience ever on San Pedro. The house is nice and comfortable and in a great location! Great restaurants and bars next door. The water is steps form your front porch. We will definitely stay here again when we return and recommend them to our family/friends

Creative cropping plus up charge for substandard services
The photos on the site were not complete. There was an old washing machine and a/c units on the front porch, as well as multiple buckets, beer bottles, and coolers in the yard. The outdoor furniture was cracked, and cushions were missing or stained. The paint (inside and out) was dirty, my kids made comments like “and now you have tetanus,” when touching the gate latch. Towels and bedsheets are stained, dingy, and worn. The neighbor to the rear was doing construction every night after sunset (power tools loud enough we couldn’t hear each other speak), and the music from the bar on the beach was loud and thumping past my bedtime (we walked over to pick up a late dinner, and there were only a few people in the restaurant/bar). Jaime offered to arrange a golf cart rental for me, and a snorkeling trip. He charged me $15 per day more than my friend paid for a nicer, newer, CLEANER golf cart, plus mine didn’t have gas. Our snorkeling trip was ok, but when I spoke with others, they experienced THE BEST snorkeling they’ve ever had. Turns out Jaime’s son (who runs the boat tour) didn’t take us to Hol Chan Marine Reserve, we went to a different spot. We were also told it was a four hour trip, and we were gone 2.5 hours total. Plus it was supposed to be private, and the first mate brought his girlfriend along. I didn’t want my kids to know the difference between what they experienced and what I expected (they were impressed, as they are not as well traveled as I), so I held my tongue. I had read a review recommending to book snorkeling elsewhere, I wish I had done so. Jaime pushed his agenda and help on me, and I regret it. We stayed at a different vacation rental (run by Vacasa) after we left Casa Magdaluz, and it felt luxurious in the cleanliness, the plush white towels, and lack of trash/ clutter.

Perfect Location and Sunrises
The single bedroom faces East and gets the most beautiful sunrises. This place is exactly as listed. Could use more updates but is perfect for the ease of access to bars, restaurants, and nightlife. Jamie was a wonderful host and very accommodating. Being that it’s in the center of everything, you only need a golf cart when going to Secret Beach- 40 minute bumpy ride or further south. We were able to charter a boat from Jamie’s son which was convenient for private snorkeling and directly supports the community. Overall a great stay and I will return.

Perfect place in paradise!
Mr. Jaime’s house was simply perfect! It’s exactly as it looks pictured online and has everything you need. The location is perfect - close to all the bars, restaurants, excursions, etc. Mr Jaime took care of everything for us from arranging transfers to Ambergris Caye and booking excursions. His family is so very sweet. Added bonus, you get to love on their 3 sweet puppies!

A home away from home
Jose and his family made us feel very welcome. Everything from meeting us at the airport, renting us a golf cart, and providing an amazing place on the water. Everything is close by and easily accessible by a golf cart. We enjoyed scuba diving with Chuck and Robbie's that is a short 5 minute walk down the beach, eating at 303 Belize restaurant and bar (10 min ride north - we passed several places to eat to get there because the food was that good), shopping in San Pedro, and taking a 20 minute ride by cart to get to Secret Beach for some time in the sand and the water.

Like my sons said the best day ever
Nice location, close to all what you need on vacation - food, water, stores. Every morning we enjoyed our coffee and tea sitting on the patio and watching pelicans and magical ocean. I will miss it a lot.

Needs updating
Pros- AC is great and kept us cool. Location - right on the beach and easy to walk to everything. Jaime can help with excursions with his son. We did go out on a snorkeling tour with him and his boat captain Danny and just the two of us. Really nice experience and I would recommend it. The other snorkel tour we ended up going on with another company (more on this later) was also really great. Check around for the best prices as this last one ended up being half of what Jaime had quoted me for the same tour. There is a washer-dryer available and that's nice. Filtered water too. Jaime will pick you up and drop you off at the apartment with his golf cart. Cons- The place could use a serious update. The towels are bare and rough. The refrigerator went out on our last night and all of our food went bad. The toilet paper holder came off the wall, things like that. Jaime does not take credit cards for the excursions he organizes which we found out AFTER we had taken the snorkeling tour with his son. This turned out to be really frustrating and time-consuming as we had to scramble to get cash from the ATM and had to cancel the second excursion we had planned with him since we were now out of cash. Fortunately, we were able to find another company (that took credit cards) last minute to take us out the next day. The internet is spotty at best which can be frustrating if you are trying to watch something (no smart TV) in the evening after a full day. Or you want to keep in touch with loved ones back home. The apartment is below Jaime's place so you can hear people walking around, sometimes until very late. If you're a light sleeper this can be an issue. My son and I had a nice stay here but don't expect anything fancy.
