The property is a gem with beautiful gardens and a creek running through it. It is gated so I felt very safe. It consists of a main house that serves as a central kitchen/office with a lovely patio for breakfast; as well as several other villas for guest rooms. The location is outside of town and on a hill, so not very walkable. The room was lovely—very comfortable and clean. It included nice amenities like mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, blow dryer, and major streaming services, among others. Each room had its own private balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning. Staff was super friendly and everyone spoke English. The price. Included breakfast each morning which was delicious and included local cuisine. I highly recommend La Terrezza Guest House for a relaxing stay.

Charles and his staff are very professional. They responded to our requests in a positive manner. There were a couple small mechanical problems. But, nothing major. The location and facility are great. The value for the price is very good. If visiting Grecia, we would stay there again.

The El Rio Apartment is a cozy haven, tastefully decorated with local flair. I fell in love with the private balcony overlooking the verdant paradise, and well-equipped kitchen for a touch of home. But the true magic lies in the little details – fresh flowers adorning the tables, local artwork gracing the walls, and the ever-present melody of nature outside your window. And, the food! Every morning, you're treated to a carefully curated breakfast. I was impressed that every breakfast consisted of a different, yet hearty, meal. The Chef, Ana, really did her thing to tantalize my palate! In my opinion, the heart and soul of La Terraza is its incredible family. They run the place with genuine warmth and care, making you feel like a cherished guest, not just a tourist. Their passion for their country and dedication to creating a memorable experience are infectious, leaving you with a newfound appreciation for Costa Rican hospitality. Special thanks to Charles, Paola, Ana, Brayan, Mauricio, and Edgardo! They truly made my experience incredible. It was very hard to leave!

Spacious, well maintained, super friendly staff, balcony with a gorgeous view, and an amazing breakfast! We would definitely stay there again! The kids didn't want to leave the hotel. Definitely explore the grounds over the bridge, if the gate is unlocked. Beautiful. The only feedback for improvement I have for the owner is that the toilet seat should be replaced (or maybe just tightened?) As it shifts around a lot when sitting on it. But even with that, 5 stars for sure.

Perfect Little Gem
La Terraza Guest House is a quaint little boutique hotel nestled in the hills just outside of the town of Grecia. The room was comfortable and spacious. I traveled alone and I felt perfectly safe here. Don’t expect piping-hot water or stellar water pressure. This is Costa Rica! Parking is also a bit tight when the property is booked. Bonus that my room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to birds chirping and roosters crowing. The grounds are gorgeous and breakfast was delicious. Paola, the caretaker is a sweetheart and welcomed me with a freshly baked treat. If you are visiting Grecia, La Terraza is definitely the best accommodation around. Highly recommend.

This is one of the very few properties to stay in while in Grecia. The breakfast was good but if you need parking then please do not pick this place. It’s a hassle and challenge to enter and close. Be sure to specifics your arrival time because they do t have any one at the desk after a certain hours. They will make you wait until someone else there.

The price was right. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. I chose the most inexpensive suite ($55), which was too close to a busy street with my windows opened. Climate is perfect, no AC necessary. Next time I would pay an extra $10 and have a little more quiet. Charles was an excellent host. And the staff were always friendly and attentive.

This is a very lovely quint place to stay with beautiful view of the garden, mountain and river right around you. Make sure you bring all your toiletries and be respectful to the locals. I love this place.

A gem in the hills of Grecia
La Terraza was the perfect stay for us. Charles was extremely helpful, and the food and service was amazing. La Terraza is a beautiful and peaceful B&B tucked in the hills of Grecia, perfect for our getaway after house hunting. Charles even arranged tour experiences that can easily be dubbed the best birthday experience thus far! We really enjoyed our time and will surely stay again upon our return for a weekend trip. Thank you Charles for being such a gem, being a wealth of knowledge and information and providing such a great experience.
