This is a great place to stay For a few days if you were exploring the area. It’s quite big, almost like a quaint mini town inside of town. The restaurant provides complementary breakfast, which was good. They have lovely gardens. The rooms were simple, but comfortable and clean.

Great location for driving South Big Sur.
Needed a referigerator, so I think we were upgraded. Great room w all we needed. Drove south to Pismo Beach one day, then north to Hearst Castle and up Big Sur next day. Beautiful sunsets at Moonstone Bay 10 min drive.

Cambria Pines Lodge is an excellent place to visit. The location up on the hills is great, quiet, beautiful views, rooms very clean, breakfast buffet, live music at nights and friendly staff.

Pillow case was inside out on the pillow. After correcting the fitting, the case had a huge stain, something that shoud not be on a bed, let alone on a pillow. The hotel staff provided us with clean cases to replace the filthy case, which is appreciated. Hotel housekeeping should be self directed for discarding linens rather than the inside out attempted solution.

Needs some adjustments but lovely
Double check to make sure you aren't actually staying across the street from the lodge, not a nice surprise. The plumbing in that building stinks and you won't be able to flush the toilet properly. There is no coffee pot in the room, only a kettle. We were not greeted at check-in, our arms were full of items and they didn't offer to help once they told us they were sending us across the street. The breakfast isn't anything to write home about, but the staff that serves breakfast is very nice. The grounds that we could see were very nice. We didn't really spend much time visiting the ground since we were staying across the street. They need to disclose in the description of their hotel that guests may be put across the street and accommodations might not be as nice as the regular Lodge. This property is one I would revisit but I would request that the room be at the actual property. They really need to retrain the older gentleman at the front desk and they really need to learn to take care of guests better. Service is lacking here. All of that said, changing a few things would make me fall in love with the place. The property is beautiful.
