The carpeting and upholstery on the sofa and the chair in the room is filthy. We wouldn't sit on either the chair or the sofa and would not touch the carpet with our bare feet. The mattress is very old, with springs that creaked every time you moved so it was incredibly noisy. The mattress was lumpy and so uncomfortable coupled with the creaking noise it was impossible to sleep. The overall look of the lobby was terrible, again filthy stained upholstery, ratty looking carpet, definitely not worth the price we paid. Find somewhere else to stay!!!

Couldn't take a shower the curtain was to short for the tub, i flooded the bathroom just getting the water warmed, the shower blew the curtain out of the tub. If you sat on the only furniture there wasnt a table to put your phone or drink on, everything had to be put on the floor. Which was filthy. You can't open your curtains because there drop down roman shades either up or down. Also there is no railing going out to the parking lot, we are80 and 83 we use hand rails on stairs. I could go on but you should really take a look at this place before you give it a 8.2 exceptional rating, more like a 6. A room for 2 but only 1 place for luggage the rest is on the floor. DONE.

Skip this place. Outdated. Staff not polite. Half the doors don’t open properly. Breakfast was not edible, we had to leave and go to a restaurant. The beach is about a block away. Zero beach access and the partial ocean view means maybe you can see the beach sorta between houses from far distance. Stay next door at The Cavalier.

Motel looks & feels so old. For that kind of a tourist area, around Hearst Castle, motels should be extra clean & updated with new curtains, a TV that works, etc. The breakfast was very adequate but that's the only positive thing I can say about it.
