We booked a cottage for two nights, and upon arrival there was an unfortunate confusion in our reservation alas the check in took very long and we ended up wasting an afternoon waiting for our cottage from late check out that wasn’t informed to us beforehand.
The resort is quite small and located a 20 min boat ride from the main beach, with a poor road connection so that by moto it will take you about an hour to drive to the center of Port Barton. The cottages are lovely and clean, with a direct view and porch opening to the beach, but the beach itself is very shallow and rocky. The overall feeling at the resort is quite isolated, with two small restaraunts you can choose from.
Sadly, compared to all our previous accommodations the altogether atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was very much below the average. Also we were slightly disappointed to find out the trouble required to get to the lively main beach (in a very broad sense - the atmosphere was very laidback, most bars close by 10pm, not as touristy as El Nido) and restaraunts located in Port Barton centre.
