Farmhouse Cottage - perfect for couples exploring the Island

The cottage has a bedroom that opens out onto a private garden with patio to enjoy the evening sun. There is a large bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The sitting room is made wonderfully cosy with a wood burning stove. We can provide a fold out bed for this property so it can sleep up to 3. This property has no kitchen or dining facilities. Our onsite restaurant is open everyday for breakfast 9am - 11am and lunch 12-3pm. Our local pub is 2 minutes drive away and other dining options within 10 minutes.

Farmhouse cottage is connected to the main farmhouse via a normal wooden internal door which remained unlocked throughout our visit. Having never met the owners we found this uncomfortable. Every noise could be heard through this doorway. Be it clear conversations or relentless dog barking . There is a wood burner that is situated in the main living room. For some reason the cottage room thermostat is also in this room and not in the coldest area. This means as soon as the fire was lit, the heating went off throughout the other areas. The cottage is laid out in a series of rooms one after the other so the place was very difficult to keep warm. Apart from the lounge we were extremely cold. The walk in shower , though spacious does not drain away so after a couple of minutes there is the risk of it overflowing into the main room so showers must be kept short otherwise one is standing in dirty water. The cottage itself is spacious and probably ideal in summer but as the place only has single glazed windows l would avoid any other time of the year. I had lost my father the week before so was in need of a break away. After mentioning the noise via message to the owners l received the generic "sorry for the inconvenience " response, a pet hate of mine as the insincerity means nothing.
