The rooms were designed for families. Mine came with a hard bed, gross tiled floors, and the bathroom… yuck.

Would love to see the lake view cleaned up a bit, the blacony and deck need some work and the upstairs one was used by smokers which stunk. The indoor pool area could use a dusting up near the top of slides and the outdoor spa was a bit dated.

Really liked our stay here. Room was clean. Lots for the kids to do. Didn't like the hours of water park. 10:00am-8:00pm. Couldn't use it on our arrival date, friday after work, Saturday was all day at the cedar point. Got to enjoy the water park Sunday before we left. Kind of on the pricey side. But we had fun.

You know that feeling when you realize the pictures were technically accurate but it’s really not at all what you had hoped? That happens in the first 30 seconds. The water park is fine for a few hours unless it’s your very first water park - say for kids 4 and under.

First and foremost… The lifeguards at the water park are absolutely amazing, I truly hope they are recognized for that. Check-in was great, simple, and accommodating. (We checked in early) Housekeeping was awesome and so friendly. As for any complaints, we sadly didn’t participate in the arcade rooms. We just couldn’t justify paying the rates that were offered for a family of four. I realize that’s most places these days but it’s absolutely insane! Overall, we absolutely loved Castaway Bay and being so close to Cedar Point. We would recommend booking a room there and would definitely stay there again!
