Great customer service, breakfast options and balcony views. They also seem to take care of the stray cats on the property so that's a definite plus for animal lovers!

Positives were a nice pool and convenient breakfast buffet. Negatives were bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable and the noise was excessive all hours of the night into the early morning. Motorcycles flying by, car noises all hours, people in hotel playing load music, drunk people yelling on the street until 4am. Not only is it loud the walls a paper thin you can hear conversations next door and down the hall. There are no fans or AC to help with the noise or comfort of thjs place. I would never book again.

Nice place for a few days

Nice place. Welcoming/check in was ok, but not exceptional. No explanation on the wifi (just available in the lobby), the pools, and other services available to us. The room was clean but dated. No AC and no Wifi in the room.

There was nothing special about this place unfortunately. Very old building. My room was a bit smelly, beds were uncomfortable, there isn't much around the area if you don't have a car. And there is no wifi in the rooms.

A very nice place to stay as a base whilst visiting around the beautiful island. Its not far from Funchal by BOLT taxi service and close to airport too, so not difficult to travel to the main centre.

There are a few things I liked a lot and a few things I didn’t. Pros-Very walkable,Lots of cafes, restaurants and grocery near by,Indoor pool,View from the balcony, the rooms were very clean,in room microwave and hot plate and I got a pleasant surprise of cake and champagne on my birthday. Con’s- No AC thankfully I visited in the winter,the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, No wifi in rooms only in common areas,Walls are paper thin, no elevator no kettle for tea or coffee in rooms With that being said this is a perfect pick if you’re not going to sow and much time indoors. It’s a little dated but it worked for our shot stat

No in room Wi-fi & no air conditioning either. We had to sleep on the balcony because the room got so hot & humid, we were sweating trying to sleep. If you’re staying during summer, avoid at all costs.

Lovely hotel

Absolutely enjoyed our stay with my boys and their football team at the tournament in Madeira. The hotel was lovely, breakfast was lovely, views was amazing, the rooms were beautiful and very clean condition. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone.
