Charming Sicily between Mount Etna and Taormina

Hospitality in charming inserted in an ancient country property 800. The unique location of the place, suspended between the sea and the volcano Etna, will be the setting for an unforgettable stay. The two annexes are independent and equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, minibar, TV, Wi Fi. Both are characterized by an element of nature: "Water" with the colors of blue and "Fire" with shades of red. The kitchen is shared among the guests of the two rooms and is made within an exclusive environment carved into the lava rock. The kitchen is located a few meters in front of the two apartments and is equipped with stove, oven, microwave, grill, washing machine, refrigerator with freezer, pots and pans.
Manicured green spaces, a sun terrace and lush farm planted with lemon and olive trees, will be at your disposal for a unique holiday.
In addition, the owners passion for sailing will be an opportunity to take advantage, on request, boat trips to offshore sailing to discover the coast of Taormina and nature reserves of the island of the Cyclops and the Timpa of Acireale.

Amazing visit to Sicily and Mt Etna
The property was gorgeous and the rooms were beautiful. We felt like we were staying in a private villa on the countryside. Claudio and Antonella were amazing hosts and made our family trip to Sicily and Mt Etna even better. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough high praises about Claudio and Antonella, they have been the MOST warm, welcoming, and attentive hosts - they really went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay, and for this we will forever be grateful. Not only did they give us helpful and insightful travel guides on the daily, our flight ended up being cancelled last minute due to a volcanic eruption and they graciously let us stay one more night for free of charge. It goes without saying how beautiful their home was - not only was the view from the terrace overlooking the orchard fantastic, but the homes were both cozy and impeccably maintained. Both Claudio and Antonella were always ready and eager to help with all sorts of out-of-the-ordinary requests. They truly proved to be the beacons of Sicilian hospitality!

Wonderful proud property owners
Antonella & Claudio treated us like family in their 1800's home that have been in Claudio's family for generations. The property was historical, well maintained with a view of Mt Etna and the ocean. At night you can see Italy's shore lights. So much welcoming, it even had a very friendly kitty to greet you every morning. Nice privacy and a functional kitchen. We would love to return to their home sometime in the near future if we get to return to Sicily. This trip was wine business, so maybe someday we can come back and relax!

Charming house at the foot of Mt. Etna
This house in Santa Venerina, on the Eastern side of Sicily, was our last stop on a 2 week trip around the island. It turns out we saved the best for last. The house is in a lovely setting on the the hillside, with a stunning view of the sea. Our casa was spacious, comfortable and quiet, with a well-equipped kitchen meant to be shared (but we were the only ones there during our 4 night stay). Antonella and Claudio were so welcoming and charming, and made us feel so at home. They were happy to suggest restaurants & wineries to explore nearby. I can see coming back for at least a week or 2. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic trip. Grazie mille, Antonella & Claudio!

Beautiful place at the foot of Mt. Etna
We had a great stay. Claudio and his wife were gracious and helpful. On our first night Claudio quickly got us a reservation at a lovely restaurant not far from the house. The house was perfect for us. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable for our family of 3. The kitchen is very well equipped. The outdoor living areas were more than anything we could have asked for. Wonderful place!! Thank you so much Claudio.

Gorgeous Villa with wonderful hosts
Location is perfect if you want to be away from the hubbub, so you will need a car. Villa was gorgeous, with great views (came with a resident outdoor cat). The two double rooms and kitchen have their own entrance which all open out to the courtyard (ie they are separate dwellings whereby you need to walk through the outside courtyard to get to each). Dwelling 1 has a double bedroom with en-suite, dwelling 2 has a double bedroom with separate bathroom and a front room with sofa, small table with two chairs and TV. Kitchen has seating for two. Definitely recommend this villa.

Charming Rustic Property
A converted 19th century winery located in a grove of citrus fruit trees made for a relaxing and enjoyable respite during our 3 week Sicily vacation. It was so nice to have peace and quiet after spending days in busy city centers in Palermo and Erice. Great hosts were available when needed but allowed us to have plenty of private family time with our adult daughter. Found some great local restaurants and enjoyed light meals in the kitchen - another nice break from hotel and restaurant food. The local towns nearby were nothing special but the property was close to Catania and Taormina for day trips. A car is required and off street parking is provided.

Beautiful property - great hosts
We had a great time at Etna Independence. Hard to fault except for an issue that is beyond the hosts control and honestly coloured our whole impression of Sicily - there is a terrible problem with litter all over the island and it is a disaster for the tourist industry there Nevertheless if you want a lovely place to stay that puts you in easy reach of Etna and the coast near to Catania then I cannot fault Etna Independence. A comfortable and stylish annex to a characterful old family home on the lower slopes of Mt Etna.
We had a five day stay here, and it was perfect. The characterful family home sits on the lower slopes of Mt Etna and has a well develped annex for guests. The hosts were warm and committed to making our stay highly enjoyable. We were able to visit Taomina, Mt Etna, a fabulous local winery for lunch, and another quality restaurant in a nearby village. We could also just relax in own section of the extensive garden or on the terrace with views overlooking the sea. The property has easy access to the motorway in the section between between Taormina and Catania.

Etna Dependance Offers a Wonderful Space, Situation and Hosts
Four of us recently stayed for a week at Etna Dependance with our hosts, Claudio and Antonella. From beginning to end, this placed charmed us. It is perfectly located to visit Siracusa, Etna and its mountain villages, the beaches and Taormina. It was a comforting and warm place to return to, and you could easily spend several days on the sunny terrace drinking coffee and reading...along with a lovely glass of Sicilian wine at night. Claudio and Antonella are genuine and friendly and offer both charm and warmth. We will return and recommend this place to any traveler who wishes to experience Sicily.

Etna Dependence is a truly relaxing place.
The four of us had a fabulous stay at Claudio and Antonella's home. The accommodation was perfect for two couples and the location although in a rural area it was walking distance to the local village which has a bar, supermarket, bakery. The property has views of the Ionian Sea and also Mt Etna. Taormina, Riposta, Mt Etna, Syracuse are easy day trips but we also really enjoyed spending time at the property, sitting under the citrus trees or upstairs on the terrace taking in the view! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and interesting to talk to. Thank you Claudio and Antonella for making our stay a great experience.

Wonderful location in Sicily.
Claudio and Antoinella were wonderful hosts for our stay in Sicily. The house was perfectly located for doing day trips from Taormina to Siracusa. So many wonderful sites to see but coming home at the end of day and relaxing on the terrace with the sea breeze cooling you was the best. The rooms were separate apts giving you privacy but you had an efficient kitchen to share. Definitely recommend staying here.

Claudio is a great host for this beautiful property lovingly restored. Claudio is very welcoming & happy to advise on local attractions. Perfect for 2 couples with our own ensuite bedrooms & shared kitchen space with everything you need for a mini break. We stayed at Etna Dependence in October 2016 - what a wonderful place! Claudio and Antonella were excellent hosts, they made us feel so welcome. The accommodation was amazing, it suited 2 couples perfectly. We had everything we needed with 2 beautiful bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a sitting room and a well equipped kitchen, in particular the coffee was top class! We really enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace which had everything we could have hoped for, including a beautiful view of both the sea and Mount Etna. The accommodation was in a very good location, close to the A18 and a 15 minute drive to Taormina. We also visited Syracusa, Ortigia and Savocca. Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Allerdings laßen wir die Beschreibung so, als wäre alles eine Unterkunft. Letztendlich waren es zwei Appartements. Wir waren im untren Appartement und hatten somit nur den Blick in den Garten. Nur wenn wir hochgegangen sind, hatten wir den Blick aufs Meer und zum Ätna. Gut war, dass das obere Appartement nicht vermietet war, sonst wäre das nicht so einfach gewesen. Die Matratzen und das Kopfkissen waren sehr hart. Wer harte Matratzen mag, schläft gut.
