No service at all. Refused to store my luggage temporarily after check out. Had to drag my luggage on the streets throughout the afternoon before I caught my late afternoon flight.

strange there was no hotel check in, just security and none spoke English. once we got the keys to apartment every thing went smoothly. there was nobody to talk to in English for directions or anything else. Grocery store was close and with refrigerator, mirowave, and stove in the unit made it convenient. location was excellent for getting around.

Centrally Located Santiago
Patricia was a warm & welcoming host. The apartment was clean, bed very comfortable, kitchen tiny. My main problem was no one spoke much English. Patricia & I communicated by typing & translating on her i-phone. Reception staff also don't speak much English.- with same I was able to leave my bags at reception while I was out exploring for the day before I caught my flight..It is very centrally located in Santiago & there's a fruit & vegie stall diagonally opposite & many cafe's close by + a supermarket @ the end of the block.. It's about 4-5 blocks from the hop on/hop off bus (where they do speak English), although it's very different from most hop on, hop off buses. You are supposed to do the full round of stops & then after that, you can go another 5 stops & get off - which may be a distance from where you are staying. My only other problem was that when I arrived at Santiago airport there was a $US 117 entry fee for Australian visitors apparently a reciprocal arrangement (although if you arrive by bus or road there is not fee).. When back in Australia I checked the Australian Government website and Chilean's are allowed a 72 hour free transit fee but the same in not offered to us in Chile!

Staying in the Barrio Civico
I rented a two-room efficiency with a double bed and a trundle bed. It was clean but showed considerable wear and tear. The kitchen is equipped for very light use by two people and there are two flat-screen TVs. A supermarket is across the street. I did not find an AC/heat system. For cool winter nights the manager brought an electric heater. I don't know what is needed during summer. There was bedding but no towels. I was told they would be delivered later but they never showed (after I had paid by credit card). The location is great (a couple of blocks from La Moneda), but staying in a hotel would have been easier for my four nights because one could expect service.

Prático e bem localizado
Apt muito prático, principalmente quem viaja com crianças como no nosso caso. O apt é bem equipado. Tem um supermercado em frente, o que torna tudo mais fácil. Tb é muito bem localizado, da pra fazer muita coisa a pé. Por não ser um hotel, não possui serviço de quarto, e a questão de não ter uma limpeza/manutenção do apt nos incomodou um pouco. Mas no geral, os pontos positivos superam os negativos e eu ficaria lá novamente numa próxima oportunidade.
