Overall very cute boutique hotel in a very safe area. We had an updated room which was nice. Two areas of improvement: the bathroom - more specifically the shower - definitely needed a deep clean. There was a lot of bathroom grime in the shower. Also, the AC unit (which may be a thing in Chile in general) made very loud clicking noises so it may need replacing. I still rated it a 5 because our overall stay was pleasant - staff were very helpful, the breakfast was ample, and our room was nice.

Quiet hotel in excellent location for a city centre stay. Staff always helpful and friendly. Wide breakfast selection. The wifi was strong in the lounge area but weak with dropouts in our room. On balance good value and we would be happy to return.

A short bussines visit opinion
There were two reasons for me to go back to this hotel: location and the good experience I had in 2016 when I stayed there. In general, I had a good experience, I did not spend too much time in the hotel just rest at night from work. In this visit I noticed the hotel will benefit a lot from renovating some areas/facilities. Bathrooms tubs are not so well mantain, neither A/C systems. A fresh professional painting will provide a better impresion shen staying longer.

The Hotel Bonaparte was clean, rooms were average. Staff was very nice and helpful. The area around the hotel is very safe, quite residential, with a lot of construction going on close to the hotel. I walked a lot during my stay there. But, there are no restaurants close by for lunch or dinner, which was disappointing, which really is my only complaint. There was a hotpot in the room, but no tea or coffee. And I had to ask for tea at breakfast. I found the coffee in Chile very lacking. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel.
