The property is located in a green and quiet spot at the foot of Gran Sasso and is a perfect location for planning walking and hiking activities in the Apennines. Popular and unmissable wakings are to the Rocca di Calascio and to the peak of Gran Sasso. From the Locanda the beautiful village of Santo Stefano is within walking distance and Calascio and Castel del Monte pretty villages are within short drive by car. Food at the Locanda restaurant is great, homemade pasta is highly recommended.

Simple but clean and comfy - great location
Good accomodation option to visit santo Stephano Di sessiano and the National Park. Room was recently refurbished and clean, comfy bed and good modern bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing with very very small amounts of food laid out. Staff were not around to ask for more cheese/ham/coffee

I loved this B&B, it was perfect! My family and I got two rooms here. They were spacious, clean, and the shower actually closed and didn't leak water everywhere (rare in Europe). It's surrounded by the mountains and was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. We needed to check out before breakfast started on our last day so they put it out 30 minutes earlier than usual-much appreciated! We ate at the hotel restaurant on our last night and it was busy, even on a Monday night. The food there was delicious too. I got the sheep stew which is a departure from my normal cuisine but I wanted to try something different and I'm glad I did-it was delicious. The price at the hotel was very affordable. Next time I come to Abruzzo I will definitely be staying here.

What a lovely place! The staff was friendly and gracious. The countryside was beautiful, the mountains breathtaking. The town is charming with good restaurants and shopping. We hope to visit again.

Buona posizione poiché oltre a poter visitare agevolmente (con un neonato al seguito) i borghi vicini è possibile raggiungere in poco tempo Campo Imperatore e le altre cime del Gran Sasso. La struttura è carina con buona colazione e ristorante adiacente. Le uniche pecche sono la non troppa pulizia, in quanto abbiamo trovato polvere e ragnatele ovunque. Avremmo preferito inoltre delle coperte non bucate e nin come di seconda mano. Un consiglio: la locanda è molto carina e accogliente basta davvero poco per rendere l'accoglienza al top....ad esempio bagni da ristrutturare e tessili (asciugamani, coperte e tende) da rinnovare, possibilmente nuovi.

Io e mia moglie abbiamo deciso di passare un weekend fuori dalla solita routine, e la locanda sul lago è stata davvero una bella scoperta. Struttura posizionata vicino a molti punti di interesse, in un luogo dove c'è silenzio e pace. Il laghetto a fare da cornice, e il recinto con gli asinelli rende il tutto piacevolmente suggestivo. Staff cordiale e disponibile, soprattutto la titolare. Camere in stile rustico ma pulito. Colazione fantastica con dolci fatti in casa e salumi locali. Se avremo modo in futuro, ci torneremo sicuramente!

Albergo molto carino e accogliente situato sulle rive di un piccolo laghetto. Pulito, silenzioso, a due passi dal borgo di Santo Stefano di Sessanio. Ottima la prima colazione. Da provare il ristorante annesso con ottimi piatti della tradizione abruzzese e non solo.

Ho trovato un ambiente molto accogliente e familiare. La struttura si presenta bene e il personale è affabile. La locazione è perfetta per raggiungere diversi luoghi da visitare e decidere percorsi a piedi o in bicicletta. Immmersa nel verde, il relax e la tranquillità sono assicurati!

Cordialità e prelibatezze
Ho soggiornato una notte in questo BB. Devo dire di non aver trovato nessun difetto, ma posso solamente dare un giudizio positivo a tutto. Prima di tutto l'accoglienza straordinaria che solo in questi piccoli paesi si puo' ricevere, poi le prelibatezze del luogo e quindi del ristorante annesso al BB, e la pace e tranquillità in cui è ubicato il BB stesso. Noi abbiamo preso una quadrupla, e siamo stati bene, molto spaziosa. La colazione buona e varia. Per il parcheggio non dovete preoccuparvi, fuori c'è molto spazio. Il BB è adiacente a Santo Stefano di Sessanio, uno tra i borghi più belli d'Italia, peccato sia stato toccato pesantemente dal terremoto del 2009. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante del BB e devo dire che oltre ad aver gradito il cibo era presentato anche con gusto degno di un 5 stelle. Lo chef prima di ordinare ci ha omaggiato di un formaggio tipo primosale con miele e noci. In 4 abbiamo ordinato un antipasto: bollito con verdurine varie. Due vellutate di patate e piselli, un bis di agnello vitello, e uno spezzatino con contorni. 3 dolci e un bicchiere di vino.(70 euro). Lo consiglio vivamente.

Locanda molto carina sul lago ottima colazione.
Posto magnifico. Sono stato una settimana. Ottima la colazione. Anche nel ristorante annesso si mangia bene. Nei dintorni ci sono molti paesi da visitare e tante sagre in agosto. Punto base anche per il trekking sul Corno grande. Unico neo in stanza non c 'è televisione e non prende il wifi.

Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno nella Locanda sul Lago e siamo stati davvero bene! Francesca e Simone ci hanno accolti con grande professionalità e semplicità .... La struttura è curata e la cucina di qualità! Consigliatissimo per chi vuole trascorrere una vacanza in totale relax a contatto con la natura!
