Beautiful renovated castle with old estate charm
A very impressive castle estate that’s updated with modern toilet /shower. The property is right beside Kennemerland national park and a few minutes walk to the Brederode castle ruins.

Room was at far end over kitchen. Extremely noisy trying to sleep but below can hear the voices of employees sounds of dishes well past midnight. Room was very dusty on all the surfaces like no one has stayed in it for a while

Amazing escape close to Amsterdam
The hotel is beautiful and you feel like you are in a different world, even though it is so close to Amsterdam. Staff was amazing and created an awesome experience, always positive and smiling. Definitely recommend to everyone who wants to escape a bit from a crowded city and relax close to nature.

A Unique Hotel Experience
It was rather different to the usual Hotel,it was made up of a historic setting, having originally a `castle hence it existed on a number of quaint stair cases and corridors.The bedroom was large and spacious.It was well worth finding out about this Hotel set in lovely wood and green fields

The rooms are not in the monumental building, it is a building attached to it. I didn’t like that so much. Staff is nice but upon arrival we couldn’t get info about walks in the area.

Needs more lighting in the room, the rooms are too dark and it made it very difficult to read. The bistro was excellent. Didn’t have enough time to enjoy the amenities. Had a very difficult time finding the hotel.

Historic mansion with spa next to national park
The hotel is in a very nice location . Close to Amsterdam, Haarlem and Schiphol. It also borders a national park which is great for biking and hiking. The building looks like a small castle. There is ample parking. There is a spa which was included in our rate. The bistro has good food , but for a really good meal, try the Michelin star restaurant ‘vrienden van jacob’. The only drawback was that our room was on the other side of the building which involved elevators, stairs and walking through the bistro.
