Very central next to the metro and nice square. Worth heading up the Italian building in the area for amazing views. We managed to check in when we arrived early which was nice. Breakfast was quite basic
The stay was great one evening it was very cold next asked reception for an extra blanket twasnt a problem.
I'm on a ketogenic diet and the chef cook me fried eggs with the all of oil that I had with me which was very nice of her. The hotel is right across from Park Republica and across the street from the hotel strategically located across the street where is the gay bars that we were interested in.
I have stayed many times at this hotel because it is just one block from the airport bus station. It is also situated in the gay area of São Paulo. It is quite easy and relatively safe to walk around the area and the metro station is minutes walk away. The breakfast is good but before the scrambled eggs were in the buffet but now you must ask ( which is difficult because no English spoken by the staff ) . But the rest of the buffet is good with plenty of fruit, breads, toast, meats and cheese. Also tea and coffee with warm milk . The staff are friendly and helpful but don’t speak English .
It is a short walk to a main shopping street including McDonald’s and there are a few supermarkets nearby - a small one right next door.
There are many places to eat and some have a menu written in English .
It’s easy to get a plate and a drink for around $10 aus
Right off Praça República. There is a small bus terminal 100 feet approx from the hotel with frequent service to the intl airport. St 48 resident it's about a third of the cost of a taxi.
Lots of places to eat and drink but be very careful after dark.
The room was pretty quiet and best for adults.
There was some peeling paint in the room but decent free WiFi and breakfast made up for it.
The staff don't speak English but are friendly and there is 24 hour reception.
It is one block to the airport bus with service from the airport 24 hours . The service to the airport only commenced at 5.20 am
The hotel is located in the gay area of town with many bars and clubs nearby.
A buffet breakfast is complimentary rack morning.
It is a few minutes walk to the metro which gives access to many parts of the city
Pleasant...excellent location...Friendly and helpful staff...they allowed us to stay some hours after checkout time...I would return....heartily recommend this hotel..also good breakfast....

Room was missing a sliding glass door to balcony so got a bit chilly at night. WiFi was very spotty. Room was clean. Staff was friendly.
The hotel was rated a 3+ but it is more like a 1. The hotel rooms were outdated, carpet at least 30 years old, smelled, just not the hotel room i was expecting based on your ratings.
If you book this hotel you need to know precisely what you're getting yourself into. The hotel functions just fine, except the internet, that's broken yet they still advertise having it, but you will be in a VERY dangerous neighborhood at night, and sometimes during the day. The room smells, the scent is best described as "grandmother" and the air conditioner hasn't worked in almost 20 years. There is however a brand new LCD TV in the room.

Clean, funcational, centrally located, good value.
Centrally located in Downtown Sao Paulo, close to Praca Republica, good value if you need to stay in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not a spectacular hotel, but clean and functional.

We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel as the staff was very friendly. The breakfast-buffet is of good choice. The room was clean but needs some renovations.
Had no issues whlie staying at Republica Park. Staff was friendly and helpfull even though my portuguese is so so. especially liked the balcony and the location, right next to Praca de Republica with their weekend fair. I love the centro area of Sao Paulo but understand its not for everyone. i would deff. return to this hotel.
I booked this hotel primarily due to its location next to the airport bus to Guarulhos, and for the good deal I got online. Be warned the neighborhood is quite dodgy at night, with lots of people carrying on in the streets below. I would not recommend walking around the neighborhood at night, especially the side streets; also the further north from Praca Republica the dodgier it gets. During the day the area is fine, completely different feel. The room was adequate but there were stains on the walls and carpet. The bathroom was clean. The lobby and common areas were well maintained. The breakfast was actually great with fresh fruit, coffee, sucos, cereal/granola, pao de queijo etc. WIFI worked great as well.

great stay
the hotel would have been very very posh 50 years ago! its looking a little old fashioned and tired in places but its clean and spacious and comfortable and the staff are great.
i enjoyed the stay and the road outside is great fun, a circus of l-boys, g-ys, de-lers, its great fun. the big silicone as-es are mesmerising, they look sexier than real women.

Noisy
The main advantage with this hotel, is the central location near the bus to the airport.
The street outside is a real party street so it can be noisy. There is no soundproofing so bring ear plugs.
Hotel was very cosy and super well situated in the city. The park might be a bit unsafe especially at nights but as there is all the time lots traffic in the streets, we did feel rather safe anyway.
Hotels in Sao Paulo can be really expensive, this was my my choice for a longer stay because the rates were very reasonable. The room was large and well-furnished, with wifi (free), satellite TV and a balcony. Free breakfast served in the room if you like. But there was a lot of road noise, and also over the weekends a lot of noise from surrounding bars and restaurants. The area was quite safe during the day, at night you need to be careful with your belongings but still OK to walk around if you don't carry valuables. I never felt threatened but was warned by locals to be careful. Not the best area of Sao Paulo, but very close to the metro and all in all really not bad for the price. Very friendly service.
