Very dirty, no parking they will move your car on local streets ,my car got damaged and their answer was" we are not responsible for cars", should not advertise parking then. Avoid this place!
Hotel location is very good, about 5 min from the Bascarsija square. Supermarket is around the corner and 2 blocks away there is a bakery that prepares pizza at night. The room was noisy since it was pointing to a street with traffic. There was no A/C so I had to keep my windows open during the day. Bathroom was clean, there was a breakfast (had to pay). In Bascarsija is the tram station that takes you near the train and bus station. It stops in front of the US Embassy. Trams start running at 0500.
Small hotel in the heart of old town (area known as Kovaci)
Not your Holiday Express but location is what matters in Sarajevo.
Lovely receptionist. They have sort of valet parking lot, so you will leave keys at 24 hrs reception
The country is in its infancy with tourism so services are limited. This hotel had no TV no AC but is inexpensive like most accommodation here. Clean but they didn't replenish toilet paper when asked. A little noisy from outside and inside.
As a disclaimer, I knew I was going to arrive late, so called ahead to let the hotel know. They admitted they did not have space for me but assured that they would be able to manage the reservation.
I arrived around 0300 in the morning and was directed to Hotel Hayat (partner of Hotel Begic). The parking area was full and I therefore had to go and find an alternative in the city instead.
Once checked in, the room seemed alright but was on the third floor (no lift) and half the lights and plug sockets did not work.
In the morning, the problems with the bathroom became evident; it was impossible to use the toilet without sitting down, the sink was leaking and the shower tray was not fit for use.
The staff on-site tried hard to be helpful and I hate writing bad reviews but there were just a few too many things that went wrong here and I was lucky it was only a two-night trip.
Good points: location, 24-hour reception
Bad points: very limited parking, bad condition of room/toilet, attic rooms with little space to stand
It could be that Hotel Begic itself is in much better condition but the reservation was severely mismanaged and it was not the greatest experience possible.
Staff were extremely kind and the location was perfect for exploring Sarajevo. There were a couple of issues with the room: there were decorative pillows placed on the bed that were torn and stained (the actual sleeping pillows seemed clean). The Wi-Fi also didn’t reach our room so we ran out of data much sooner than expected. Overall, decent value for the price given the location.
The room was noisy from outside, curtain was completely dusty, there was no shower curtain at all, we have to ask for towels at reception (and even then we got just one small towel and one foot towel).
Hotel was great. Staff was very friendly. You can do laundry for 10 Euros per bag which was super convenient. The only cons were that there was no AC or fan. In the winter it probably doesn't matter but in the middle of the summer, it would really help.
Pros: Very nice hotel with very comfy beds, extremely nice and helpful staff. Very short walk to the old town. Very Clean
Cons: bed in the single room is a bit tiny and no closet. If you will be walking it’s up a ramp which wasn’t a big deal for me
I would definitely stay there again!!
Nice hotel, 2 mins walk from pigeons square, you just need to go up the rump to reach it. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. I had the single room, the bed is so comfortable but a bit tiny and the room needed a closet. Very clean bathroom as well. I would stay there again
Words that come to mind are simple and basic, but everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was located just a few minutes walk from the old town of Sarajevo. The roads around the hotel are very narrow, so it was a bit of a challenge to drive there, but the place was convenient for doing other things in the city and the price was very good.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
This was perfectly fine for the price as I just needed somewhere to get some sleep for the night after a busy day.
The gentleman on reception was polite and helpful, the property was a short walk to Old Town/Pigeon Square.
There was a mosque very close to the hotel which woke me up with the “call to prayer” as I was getting to sleep in the evening, and quite a bit of traffic outside as the hotel is next to a somewhat busy road. However, these are to be expected in a capital city where Islam is a big factor in the local culture.
If it’s just you on your own and you aren’t looking for an all-singing-all-dancing, bangles and baubles hotel, this would be more than adequate for your needs and for a traveller who
is on a budget who isn’t looking for anything too fancy, it is well worth considering.
