Centrally located on the West Coast of Florida, convenient to many Florida attractions, River Hideaway on the Manatee sits on 1 1/2 acres nestled at the end of a private road. This home features 4,200 square feet under air. The second floor Is the main living space and has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, living/dining room, and a family room. The family room centers around a gorgeous view of the river. If movies are for you, the family room has a 65 inch smart tv with Roku. If you love a good family game night, it is stocked with games and puzzles. If someone has to work or study, there is also a desk overlooking the river. The kitchen is fully outfitted and ready for you to get cooking! The kitchen opens up to the two story caged lanai with seating areas on both floors. The first floor has a large game room with ping pong, foosball and air hockey, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The first floor lanai has a tiki bar, table for dining and lounge chairs by the large salt water pool. If you are looking for adventure, the garage has 4 kayaks, life vests, and oars so your adventure can start right from the new 90 foot dock. Pool is not heated.

Please note that the first and second are separate. While remaining inside the home, the access is through the garage.

Note: for the safety and security of our guests and property, each guest who stays overnight during your stay must be listed on the reservation. Please make sure to register the correct number of guests.

Relaxing getaway on the river

We thoroughly enjoyed this spacious property on the Manatee River. The house was welcoming and well equipped for our week's stay. We had a boat and it was a lovely & scenic ride out to some of the barrier islands. Plenty to do & see in the area so we stayed very busy but the house was a clean and cozy spot for us to relax each evening together. Our kids loved the game room and hanging out by the pool. Wonderful week, wonderful hosts! wonderful week and this housewaswstayed

Best vacation we've ever had in Florida!

This house was such a joy to stay at and Tom and Brigit made everything so seemless and easy. The house is perfect for families who just want to relax and enjoy the pool, dock, and beautiful setting. It is also close to many family attractions, beaches and other areas in Sarasota. If you're there on a Saturday make sure to go to the Sarasota Farmer's Market!

This was a great house for a week away with our extended family. 6 adults, 6 kids and there was plenty of room. Lots to keep us entertained at the house. Pool was great, good fishing off the dock, nice big yard to play in. They have everything you need for a day away at the beach. Lots of family friendly games. It was a great week!

Enjoyed the views, porches, and spaciousness of this peaceful retreat. The owners were super responsive and thoughtful and accommodating. The location was certainly private and safe, however until the road construction is completed, travel back and forth at inopportune times may be troublesome.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time during our stay. They game room was great for the teenage boys and the view was fabulous. The house had absolutely everything we needed and even extras. Summer vacation

We were looking for a 5 BR house for a family summer vacation along a river that had a dock for our boat and a pool. This property met that requirement. The house size and accommodations were perfect for our needs and the house was very neat and clean. They had many extras to do at the house with the game room, board games and puzzles. It was relaxing sitting on the upper deck looking over the river while having coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening. Very quiet area. A warning for anybody using the dock for a boat, at low tide especially, it was difficult to get in and out of the boat due to the distance between the dock and the boat being 3 to 4 ft. Definitely difficult or impossible for some elderly or somebody with mobility issues. We did okay with an age range of 10 to 66. We really enjoyed out stay.

Amazing Experience

Our family stayed at River Hideaway for a week and we loved every minute! The home had everything we needed and then some. From grandparents to teenagers there was something for everyone. From swimming in the pool to watching boats and wildlife on the river, we were never disappointed! We can’t wait to visit again!

Beautiful place!

The owners are so nice and so easy to work with and to get in touch with when I had questions. The home is beautiful! Our kids loved the pool and game room and we loved fishing off the dock! The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful! We had a family of 12 and there was so much room for all of us. The kitchen was the best stocked home we've ever stayed with. We'll be back!

Beautiful on the river!

So so much room for my family! There was so much to do. The house was clean! We kayaked, played games, swimming for days! We caught so many different fish in the river! We only left the house twice to go to the beach because there was so much to do at this place! I will definitely return. It’s so quiet and a very peaceful neighborhood. My kids never got bored, there’s ALWAYS something to do.

Perfect

I brought my daughter and 7 year old granddaughter to see my son and his new daughter. We came down from New York so the sun and heat were very welcomed. The pool was the biggest hit for us to gather around and the little mermaid I brought had a blast. The play room was great and rest of the house was well kept up and very clean. They even had more than ample amount towels to use. I would definitely rent this again. This is a really good one.

Awesome waterfront retreat

We spent 5 days with family. The hosts were excellent at answering all questions quickly and accurately. The house is on the water in a beautiful setting. We had 9 adults in our party and there was room for everyone. The game room was a great place to relax in the evenings. The kayaks were lots of fun for morning paddles to see manatees in the next cove. Some enjoyed a nice bike ride one evening. There is so much to do to keep everyone happy. There are plenty of great attractions in the area for day excursions. We enjoyed the ringling brothers museum, the beach, and a local boat tour. Highly recommended!!

Great family getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at the River Hideaway! We were a family of 7 adults, so we appreciated having plenty of space to spread out for a week together. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts thought of everything which made for an easy stay. Hosts were very communicative and helped with any questions we had prior to and during our stay. The house, pool and grounds were beautiful! The house was priced reasonably for us when split 7 ways. 😊 We would happily stay at River Hideaway again in the future. Thanks to Tom and Bridget for being wonderful hosts!❤️

Our group had such a great time. Tom was more than accommodating and check in/check out was a breeze. The kids really enjoyed the pool and fishing off the dock. Fishing was best in the morning as it’s pretty shallow. We caught cat fish in the evenings and Jacks in the morning with a bonus snook. There is a ton of space to spread out and the game room was so much fun. Kayaking was awesome! This house has everything you need. It felt like we were staying at a private resort. Thanks Tom!!
