***update*** The condo was updated on 5/5/24. This condo is at the Tortuga Inn which is the perfect beach-to-bay resort on Florida's unspoiled Ann Maria Island. Plus a private white sand beach just across the street with two heated pools. A private pergola with amazing ocean views and water craft rentals. Beach chairs are included at no extra charge. Restaurants and cafes within a short walk. Manatees are known to habitat the bay area during certain times of year, dolphins and other wildlife are also regular visitors within the bay and ocean. Parking is included at no extra charge. Restaurants, shops, grocery stores, boat and other water activity rentals are within a short walk or drive but not on property. There is a free island trolly that can take you around the island.

Within the condo: the studio portion; a queen bed with a pullout couch, sleeps 4 comfortably. There is a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine and plenty of closet space. A large bathroom, walk in shower with dual shower heads. Basic cable and free wifi included.

For an additional charge of $40 per day I do have a boat slip. Please enquire if you are looking to rent or bring your own boat or jet skis.

Studio was perfect for the two of us. Across the street from the beach, close to restaurants, bars, convenience store. Catch free trolley bus outside the condo. Laid back community.

So definitely take a look at the pictures because that is what you get. There is no central air only a portable air-conditioning unit that does not work very well and there is no carbon monoxide tester in the place as well. It had to be high 70s close to 80 when we woke up in the middle of the night and we did have the air conditioner portable unit on 66 was noisy. Ceiling fan was unbalanced and if you turned it on high very noisy sounds like it’s going to take off.The silverware was in a drawer with all kinds of other stuff not even enough for two people to use to eat, let alone the refrigerator get cold, but it is very small. The best thing about the place was the shower. When we first arrived, the elevator was not working so we had to climb two flights of steps. We did find another elevator and move our car closer to that. There’s no windows except for the slag glass door in the bedroom area, so it’s very dark if you close the curtains and there’s no comfortable place to sit whatsoever there’s one chair at the desk and the couch extra bed whatever that thing is is extremely uncomfortable. We had to leave early and I did email the host twice and he never responded back to me whatsoever. We would never stay there again so definitely read the reviews

Good Spot
This is a good basic spot for two people. Basically, its a small hotel room w mini fridge, kuerig coffee machine and small microwave. Bathroom and shower is very large! Since its just me for work travel I would have no issues staying here again. Close to a few restaurants and not much further is Bridge St where all restaurants and shops are located. Very good communication with owner during stay. You have to walk up two flights of stairs since elevator is out of order. Parking is very limited underneath building due to storage of building materials.

Exactly as advertised
We loved the location of this unit. Very close to some of our favorite spots (Kokonut Hut, Wicked Cantina, and Bridge street)! I did have a "moment" with the elevator where it was stuck between floors. Once it finally opened, we never rode it again. And the unit was not very cool, the cooler/dehumidifier put off more heat than it actually cooled the room. Since the weather was cool, it wasnt a big deal for us to just use the fans provided. I also wished there was a shower caddy, the shower was awesome, but there was no where to place your shower essentials. I"d definitely stay again! Only suggestions

Accuracy in description
The property is wonderful, the pools very clean and well maintained. Love the ease of the beach access and the fact that once you arrive you don’t need to get in your car again until you check out. Was a bit disappointed in the fact that the unit we were in was definitely not renovated 4 months ago, ceiling vents not cleaned in a very long time and A/C was a portable unit that lacked efficiency if we didn’t keep checking it.

I didn’t realize how small this place was. The sliding glass door was are only window which opened to a condo corridor so we had to keep the curtains closed at all times. It was so dark!

Good value for the location
It’s a studio! Clean and good enough for a short stay like a weekend. The location is very central and close to the beach (across the property street), with close access to restaurants and stores, including some beachfront and/or Bayfront. The only thing it’s that there is zero view, since there are no windows for views and the sliding glass door both just face the hallway of the condo. This is a room locked out from a bigger condo unit. For the price during Labor Day Weekend, and its location…it’s “good enough!”

My wife and I were celebrating our 38th anniversary and other family members were at AMI, staying at a different property close by. This was the perfect for us to be able to just meet them on the beach across the street. The unit was perfect.

Location is very good across from the beach. The unit itself feels unclean. The refrigerator had a peculiar smell and the freezer was yellow green. The sink had no water pressure. The owner was made aware, and had I looked, multiple reviews had stated both these concerns. The area rug next to the bed is dirty. Left a day early.

We stayed in the adjoining room to the main room, which is this listing although its not mentioned. Both the adjoining and this room have the same passcode we accidentally found out, which my mom found unsettling. The room was very clean. The room is across the street from the beach and equivalent to about a block or two into the complex, so not on the beach as i thought feom the pictures. The room was well air conditioned, we had easy parking and it was comfortable. Down the street from some beach bars and the beach across the street had lawn chairs and umbrellas that seemed to be okay for anyone to use although i layed in the sand. A nice spot overall.
