No Sleep at the James Hotel.
The room was lovely, but had absolutely no privacy or sound proofing. The bathroom door didnt seal, and so much noise carried through the entrance door that my partner and i were repeatedly woken by a nearby room that partied until after 4 AM. Wr called security twice and spoke to the other room ourselves to no avail. Evidently you can do whatever you want at the James Hotel, and security won't do anything to stop you. When we spoke to the front desk in the morning they offered us two free drinks in their lounge the "next time we visit." Really not good enough.

I recently spent five nights at the James hotel. I found the staff at the front desk less than helpful or nice. The parking situation specifically was very bad and the first night I had to park on the street, Another day. I came back from a very long day and there was a piece of equipment blocking the parking lot entrance. I believe they were washing windows. I parked on the street as I did the day I checked in and I received a parking ticket. The hotel did not seem to care about this and that I was not able to get into the parking lot because it was blocked by a crane. The best part of the stay was the staff who worked in the breakfast area. They were very kind, helpful, and caring. Also, when I checked in the luggage rack completely fell apart when I put my luggage on it, and nails went flying everywhere. Next time I’ll stay somewhere else.

10 out of 10. Everything was luxurious in our suite, and the food was delicious. As two celiacs, we had every confidence in the meals we ordered, as the servers took our dietary restrictions very seriously. Can't wait to go back to the James Hotel.

Anniversary
Decided to stay at the James hotel for a late anniversary celebrations and all I can say is wow! We got a junior suite with balcony overlooking the river to the view was fantastic. The breakfast included in the stay was also delicious and top notch service all around! Will definitely be staying again for next anniversary

I like the James Hotel a lot. Some rooms are a bit small but The James is a European style hotel. The interior of the hotel is starting to look a bit worn in places. The breakfast is good and the staff excellent.
