Koh Lipe is the most beautiful island I have seen in my numerous trips to this country but is also the most expensive. Most of the Hotels are about blocks away from the beach and the budgets ones are basically the same in design and size. Extremely small rooms, with basic bathroom (western style) build with bamboo panels, no A.C or T,V.
The room at GECKO HOTEL are individual cabins as described above with a terrace at the entrance large enough for four people. The cabins are distributed in a very nice surrounding between trees, They have a common area under a roof with tables, refrigerator a free tea and coffee 24 hrs. The room have an electrical fun and the bed a mosquito net good enough to keep them away, The Hotel have no safe box but it is very well protected with security video cameras throughout the complex, It is located only a block from Pataya Beach and a minute walk from main Street. The staff was excellent, always smiling specially GOGI, front desk attendant. She went out of her way to answer my numerous questions and making sure that I was happy with my accommodation. Cheaper than most budget Hotels and with an excellent location, I will recommend this to anyone
