"The house is quaint with historical charm. By all accounts the beds were comfortable. We stayed in the winter and so can't speak to the outside amenities. We also didn't travel into town, so I can't speak to that either. The only criticism is that the elders in the family had a hard time finding the house as it is back off the road and the numbers are nailed up on a tree. Admittedly, I also had a moment looking for the house, but I was looking during daylight hours so it was easier to find. Everyone enjoyed the house in all of its charm. My six year old was fine, but if you have toddlers, you may need to be on high alert as there are a lot of pieces of art and objects that little hands would love to grab. There are two bedroom on the first floor, that we put the elders in so they didn't have to navigate the stairs. One was a King and the other was either a Queen or a Full bed. Upstairs is a King four-poster and a Full bed in the next room. Would recommend. "

"Really unique apartment overlooking downtown Butler Street. Fantastic views of the winter decorations and lights from large street-side windows (which still felt private, sheltered by large apple trees). High-ceilinged, spacious and comfortable main unit (open living room/dining room with gas fireplace; bedroom, bath, well-equipped kitchen) with a full second suite -- king sized bed, bathroom, full wet bar/kitchenette -- off the common foyer. Funky decor with interesting paintings and objets d'art throughout; generous and comfortable furnishings. Probably not the best place for families with small children (too many fragile tippy things; steep stairs). "

"Planned a trip for my family post-Christmas to just get away, and had a GREAT time. This location is perfect -- it's close enough to walk to ALL the shops and restaurants downtown ( 5 min walk), but far enough that there's not the noise or the street traffic. The house itself was charming and we LOVED the Bose sound system. We appreciated the little touches, like the board games in the closet, well stocked coffee supplies, etc. Will definitely be back! "
