Good hotel but had some staffing issues
The hotel is in a great location and is clean and comfortable. We stayed for a couple days after Christmas and enjoyed the hotel, but there were not enough staff to effectively provide breakfast to the guests in the morning. There were lines of people at times waiting for eggs, pancakes, coffee, etc., - occasionally several food items were gone and everyone was waiting for more food to be brought out. I asked one of the staff about it and they said it had been like that for the last 4 days and there weren't enough workers scheduled, and they had to rush out to the grocery store to buy more food at least once. The hotel management knew how many guests were staying each night, so looks like poor planning to handle the number of guests during the holiday week.

Nicest holiday Inn express I have stayed. Staff was excellent and welcoming throughout stay. Shout out to the front desk and the nice ladies helping in the breakfast area. Great location, walkable.

We have stayed here several times, we love the convenience to River Street, the cleanliness of the hotel, the staff and the concierge, the breakfast and excellent service. Our only con is the cost of valet parking when the parking garage is right behind the hotel for much less per night. It is our choice of place to stay anytime we are in Savannah.

Great hotel!
Checking in was easy and the staff was super friendly! The hotel was clean and inviting. All the staff was amazing from the valet to the front desk to the breakfast staff. Would definitely come back as a couple and bring the rest of my family here!

This was our second stay at the Holiday Inn Historic District. Our room was superb - it was incredibly comfortable with a homey atmosphere - really beautiful room with a view of the river. The weather in Savannah was not great, but the room really was a perfect hideaway from the cold. The staff were really helpful and very welcoming.

Best hotel pillows we have used in some time. Bed was comfortable. We were charged $50.00 as a "contingency fee" and no contingencies occurred. It is now 10 days later and the funds have not been refunded. Why???

I have got email to register for the best view of river. I did. And I have got a view of buildings. Why you ask if you do not plan to deliver. In the morning at 7 am front desk was not able to get valet to come to work. We were waiting for good half an hour for him to appear and bring the car. What do you think about such service for which we paid $330
