Wanted to be in Savannah proper although we (surprisingly) found out they offer a free shuttle to downtown . You leave at 9 am and return at 4:30 pm.

We had a tropical storm the TV went out. The lights went on and off the ceiling was leaking rain and into the room.

The property is in good condition we stayed during the hurricane we lost power for about 30 minutes and weve been good since. The staff here is very amazing and helping we decided to stay another night

1st room, opened door, stench of stagnant and rot filled the nostrils. Lifted bed cover to see most of bed covered in black mold. The top sheet, the fitted sheet and the mattress cover, all massively coated in black mold and what looked like moldy black and red vomit stains along the one side. Looked at a 2nd room, also smelled the same, less visible mess on the bed but same situation. 3rd room at far end of hallway, smelled clean, no visible stains but was apprehensive about staying but at that time and tiredness i stayed and tried to touch nothing except the bed and doors. Staff was reluctantly willing to allow us to check several rooms, but gave no concerns about the deplorable conditions or the risks associated with such a high contamination level. The breakfast was EXTREMELY minimal, unkempt, as well as a bit dilapidated.

The rooms was really nice the beds comfortable. The only thing I did not like is that they stop serving breakfast at 9 and when I went down there close to 10 and asked for some milk because there was cereal left she refused to give me any and was very rude about it.

Should be called "Red Roof Minus"
I really appreciate that this room had a mini refrigerator & freezer, and microwave. That is the extent of the positives The soap and shampoo dispensers were either empty or didn’t work--all of them. We were just passing through for a few hours of sleep and a shower and we had to haul out our own shampoo, conditioner, and soap. I don't really understand what the "plus" part is in the name of the hotel because this place was definitely a minus.

I really liked my stay and I have used this hotel several times for a mid-way point to Florida. I love that it is pet friendly and that don’t charge a pet fee. The price is usually a good deal. My updated room is very nice and clean. Love the mini-fridge with freezer. Only a couple negatives: I could not get the tv to work at all. There is a LOT of trash in the woods behind the hotel. I only noticed it because I was walking my dog. I am sure the trash is not actually ON the property, just over the pavement in back, But it is really very unsightly. Also, I am not thrilled with not being allowed t9 take my breakfast back to my room. I had a dog with me and I didn’t want to leave him alone in the room for fear he would bark and wake up neighbors.
