Could be great!
Hotel is in a quiet but convenient location between the train station and the Safari booking office. Room was dark with only one main light. Bathroom was smelly and water did not drain well after showing. Restaurant was incredibly slow-- 45 min to make dinner. Otherwise friendly staff!
The hotel management made our family (7 people ) wait since they couldn't find the booking info when we reached the "so called resort". THE. PLACE SHOULD NOT BE CALLED "RESORT" The toilet tank was leaking and we found several bugs in the room. Finally the owner/manager gave us another room. The guy who served us breakfast was very nice. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Hotel was nice, but unfortunatelyTiger safari in Ranthambore was poor value. Spent half of the time picking up and dropping off from other hotels, guides seemed keen on getting home again as quick as possible. Viewings of animals poor, would not recommend.

Hotel was decent value for the money.
Our stay was okay. The food was good and they said it was prepared to tourist standards but we got sick eating the vegetable salad. If you make tiger safari reservations online and use the ticket pick up service, I think they take the best zones (where there may be a kill so the tigers will be there the second and third day) and give them to the big foreign tour groups. I had five different reservations and lost my zone 1 (got zone 4 instead). I did get the other four zones that I reserved so it seems fishy to lose only the best one.
Our room was very dark. Staff brought up a lamp but it only marginally helped. Other rooms (smaller ones on the ground floor) seemed to be more well lit. Our blanket cover smelled like BO but staff changed it when we asked. You also need to know that a switch controls the in-room water heater (so you need to turn it on in advance before taking a shower).
I think the hotel is a little far from the park gate so we seemed to always be the first ones to be picked up by the cantor (a good thing). There is also a small convenience store nearby to get snacks and drinks.
This was a great hotel for the price close to Ranthambore National Park. The BEST part of the hotel was its restaurant! INCREDIBLY TASTY FOOD for cheap prices. The service staff and owner were very nice thoughtful people as well. I would stay here again.

Nice small hotel with indoor and outdoor seating.
Our only reason for being in Ranthambhore was to see a tiger.
Booked on-line and reviews seemed good. Was expecting a 'Cottage' but was just an upstairs unit.
In-house meals were tasty and authentic.
We SAW 2 tigers, so all good. Nothing nearby to walk to. Empty site next to pool was an eyesore, but pool itself was refreshing in the winter.

Good hotel for safaris, not long stay relaxation.
Clean rooms, and a manager with a sense of humor and good English language skills. The "resort" name is misleading to westerners, as this is an average dated hotel with an in-ground pool only. No gardens, tennis area, etc. to denote a "resort."
A distance from the Tiger reserve, and a service charge is made for safari tours, and no choice of regions.
Meals are on menu only, no buffet as other higher class hotels, but the food is good. Staff very limited in English proficiency to be a tourist hotel except for the many Indian quests. Hot water is limited to two times a day by set hours. Door man at night for security. Separated toilet seat from shower stall a plus, but no sink counter or place for toiletries in the bathroom. No washroom floor mats. Cable TV has 24 stations with Indian language ONLY, no English stations. No safe in our room, and the ceiling fan was unbalanced and made noise constantly.

Nice place close to the park
Nice hotel close to Ranthambore National Park. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The restaurant while kind of dark and lacking in ambiance served excellent food. Our room was large and had several windows with a relaxing balcony. The only real negative was that the pool was not in very clean condition when we were there.
I stayed at this hotel for the purpose of exploring Ranthambore National Park. The hotel is quite nice, especially given the price. The staff were very helpful with the manager being particular so. In addition the manager speaks perfect English, has a good sense of humor, and helped accomodate my special requests. The restaurant is a good option for the area. Given the multitude of options to stay at near Ranthambore, this is a good choice. Unfortunately, the town itself is fairly dirty and offers little outside the proximity to the park.
I stayed here for two nights. The manager of the hotel is kind and very helpful. Service at the restaurant good. Rooms are clean and cottage rooms were spacious, the normal rooms are quite small and had little to no natural light. Good value place to stay in the area as many other places are very expensive or not great quality. Would recommend the stay here. One improvement would be to change table clothes after each guest as they get quite dirty and it is not pleasant to eat from the table afterwards.
This place has a most arrogant attitude towards customer and others, that one is best to avoid stay at this Hotel.
The so called Manager (Rahul Desai) is the most arrogant person on this earth.
We witnessed two customer walking out with argument with this guy.
He even has audacity to force gratuity given to Rathombore Tger Reserve staff to give it to him.
Please avoid this establishment.
Helpful staff but hot water policy (posted) unsettling. Surprised to find out that although room (& high taxes) could be advance paid by card, this was not acceptabe for premises charges.
WE HAD STAYED THREE DAYS AT THIS HOTEL,EVERYTHING OF THIS HOTEL WAS AWESOME.THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN & COMFORTABLE,THE STAFFS WERE AWESOME & VERY FRIENDLY BY NATURE SPECIALLY THE MANAGER.YOU DONT NEED TO GO ANYWHERE FOR FOOD BECAUSE THE FOOD IS AWESOME & TASTY.
I stayed at Hotel Tiger Reserve for 2 nights in January 2014. This is one of the few more budget priced hotels in the area, which is growing by leaps and bounds with plenty of high end options. I was exceptionally pleased with my experience.
The staff is very helpful and fluent in English. They will make all safari arrangements or in my case, where I pre-booked by safari's online, they took care of the step in which you wait in line for an hour for the lottery assignment and obtaining the boarding pass. The fee charged for this service was very reasonable and with 2 safaris on one day, I greatly appreciated not having to do this myself. If you do want to take care of this yourself, they will arrange for transportation to the boarding pass location at the appropriate time.
Both the day of the safari and the day I left by early train, they arranged for wake-up calls They also provide different breakfast seating times for those with and without a safari to ensure those heading out early get something to eat before. There is also the option to have breakfast after the early safari.
There were some limitations on hot water due to the use of generators. They make great efforts to ensure you know the hot water timeframe and this worked out well, despite the small limitations.
Overall, i would highly recommend this hotel in the area for a reasonably priced option. The hotel and service provided was excellent.
Well, with the very poor quality of our room, we were quite surprised by the good food and kitchen service. So our 'super deluxe' room was 1) very cold -had to rent a heater at INS 400 per night, 2) poor water quality -the shower head in the middle of the bathroom spits tepid water just enough to wet your hair (and that's when you abide by the 'hot water' schedule), 3) the beds are anything but comfortable, 4) the electricity keeps going out and the WiFi only works periodically, 5) the lighting is absolutely horrendous. Positive aspect: blankets are complimentary for safaris (and they are needed especially if you do an early morning safari) and the outdoor terrace can be somewhat pleasant. If in Ranthambhore, you should consider your options.

Good budget hotel for students.
Staff were really friendly and opened up the shop next door to allow us to buy jackets for the chilly morning safari. We were delighted to see a tiger on our afternoon safari:)

Our stay at Ranthambhore
Service orientation is totally lacking. The staff is very commercially oriented , especially while doing the check out process and booking the tiger safari . All room service payments were done in cash ( very surprising for a hotel booked through expedia).
