About this property

Boutique Casita w/ Pool and Patio | 7 min Walk to Beach | Casita 3

Nestled in a tropical oasis in the south end of Sayulita is where you will find our four casitas. Just a short walk from the eclectic stores and restaurants that Sayulita is known for, but far enough away to escape the bustle and noise of the town.
Sit by our refreshing pool on relaxing lounge chairs or spend time at the many beaches, which are just a 10-minute walk away.

Each one-bedroom casita has a king-size bed, ensuite bath, and an indoor and outdoor shower. A separate living room with sleeping accommodation for an extra person. Large outdoor terrace with eating table and lounge chair. Fully functional kitchen with two burner stove, refrigerator, blender, toaster oven, and coffee maker. The casitas are thoughtfully decorated with locally sourced furnishings and decor.

DISCLAIMERS - We think it is important to communicate upfront the realities of coming to stay in a tropical part of Mexico. The below-listed items could happen during your stay, although are usually very rare. Some are specific to our Casitas while others are more general for this part of Mexico.

- To get to the casitas from town you must walk up a hill which is at a 40-degree incline and is 60m long.
- The power could go out during your stay, when the power goes out we also lose water pressure.
- We could run out of water, if this happens we order more water as soon as possible to fill our tenacos.
- The internet could go out due to local issues with the Internet Service Provider. If the internet is crucial for you we suggest bringing a hotpsot. (full internet outages are rare)
- We are not a hotel.
- The pools are not heated.
- The main pool is shared, and the dunk pool in Casita 4 is private.
- Each bedroom has an AC unit. The main living area does not have AC.
- The casitas do not have TVs.
- There may be mosquitos at night.
- You may encounter scorpions. (usually by leaving clothes or pillows on the floor for long periods)
- You may encounter ants inside the casita. (You could wake up one morning and find a trail of ants going through the kitchen for example)
- You may encounter lizards and geckoes inside or outside the casita.
- You could be awoken in the morning by the sound of a rooster call or dogs barking.
- You could hear construction noises as Sayulita has many new buildings going up.
- You will likely encounter stray dogs and cats.
- Mexico can be a very dusty place, and dust can build up quickly.
- It's possible that a neighboring house has a party at night and could keep you awake.

We hope that providing these disclaimers will help our guests understand some of the issues they could face while staying in Sayulita. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Relaxing stay in Sayulita
Casita #3 was great- just what we were looking for. My husband and I stayed here over over the Thanksgiving holiday for a short getaway to the sun. The place was exactly what it looked like online. Nice small place to hang out, Small kitchenette, and a big bedroom. The bathroom was great, open air windows made it feel like you were showering outdoors. There was also a table and chairs outside for morning coffee and evening drinks. Things I didn’t love: 1) no way to make or store ice. The fridge was too small and the ice box could make or hold ice. 2) the pool wasn’t super clean. All in all, I’d recommend this casita and will likely stay there again!

Our stay in Sayulita
We arrived on a Monday and left on a Monday. The casita is very pleasant - clean, well maintained, tastefully and simply furnished, nice pool, a welcoming bottle of tequila. Tony, the property manager, is young, very professional, and a very agreeable man. Liked waking up in the morning to the birds coming and going - a couple of kinds of woodpeckers, jays, and a few chacalacas, which are incredibly loud, though novel for us. The only negative about the casita is the construction on the lot next door - Monday to Saturday, from about 8 am to 6 pm, including jackhammers and backhoe. Kind of felt like we had to go out in the day just to get some quiet. That being said, I think you would be hard pressed to find a place in Sayulita that did not have construction going on within a hundred metres or so. We enjoyed the village of Sayulita, and hanging out at the beach - liked Playa Los Muertos more than the main beach in town, which was pretty busy. Either one is a ten minute walk from the casita. I would stay again at this place!
