The apartment is very spacious, beautifully appointed and has everything you could want for a stay. Two king-sized beds, a single bed and crib mean there's lots of sleeping space. The large kitchen was equipped for our cooking needs. Lighting under the cupboards provided a delightful atmosphere.
Views from the apartment's windows show the beautiful hilly landscape around Kassel. We spent lots of time at the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bergpark Wilhelmshohe, and swimming at the Therme. The host offered plenty of recommendations for local sights and restaurants.
Access to laundry facilities was truly helpful particularly for the children's laundry. An Edeka grocery store was within a short walk, and the local bakery is a block away.
The large backyard was the highlight of our stay. It is fully enclosed, so we could let our kids out to play without worry. The in-ground trampoline was thrilling for our 2 and 4 year olds and yet very safe. A play house and a sandbox stocked with toys kept the kids entertained. The door in the living room opens right into the yard, so I was able to relax indoors while seeing what the kids were up to outside. A covered seating area meant my daughter could sit outside to read or draw even when it rained. A park that's a five minute walk away gave additional entertainment in the form of a zipline. Our hosts provided a box of age-appropriate toys that also kept the kids busy indoors.
