Ferdi Mountain Base is located in North Austria between the captivating Enns Valley and the Dachstein Mountain range. Its magnificent location is full of endless possibilities and is perfect for adrenaline-fuelled activities or hard-core training. Its fairy-tale scenes are also a haven for tranquillity where you can cleanse your body and soul in unimaginable beauty.

The Ferdi base is a newly-built lodge that is equally as impressive as its legendary backdrop. Its larch-clad exterior blends in with its natural habitat, while its striking interiors embody a new design concept. Its minimalist edge encourages purity of thought, whether it’s complete and utter rest or focused work-outs. With no expense spared or finishing touch missed, it has a stylish kitchen, sumptuous beds and gorgeous deck area.

Its open plan living area covers the top floor and offers spectacular views over the mesmerising Planai Mountains. Contemporary sofas look out over the panoramic vistas, while a chic fireplace keeps everything warm in the winter. A large Bulthaup kitchen overlooks the sleek dining area and has modern appliances and a bespoke, designer finish. With floor-to-ceiling windows and an exclusive balcony, it is an incredible space to soak up the Austrian landscape.

Downstairs, there is a yoga room suitable for stretching and gentle exercise, complete with a glass-fronted sauna and stunning mountain-view terrace. A hi-tech ski prep room can help to keep your boots warm and is joined by an outside yoga space where you can rejuvenate your soul. The four double en-suite bedrooms are designed to promote rest and relaxation and have a soothing atmosphere and a natural simplicity. Crisp white walls are joined by quality wood floors, while adjustable lighting can be tailored to your mood.

Beyond your terrace, adventure awaits whether it’s high up in the mountains or deep down in the valleys. The Dachstein range is a favourite for winter sports and has ski slopes and jumps that are suitable for all. You are within walking distance of a 89 hole golf course. In the spring and summer, the natural opulence reins making it ideal for hiking, biking and serious rock climbing. With never-ending opportunities and inspirational scenery, you can enjoy the holiday of a lifetime in any season. The owners are very knowledgeable about the local area, and happy to suggest activities. In the autumn, this town becomes a training ground for all the World Cup athletes in cross-country skiing, biathlon, and other Nordic sports. You are very likely to bump into them when out for an evening jog!

Beautiful, modern property with stunning views!
This comfortable, pristine lodge was a delight for our family of seven. The house is luxuriously equipped and very spacious. We spent five days hiking and enjoying the warm summer sunshine. There are a wealth of activities in the area and many good restaurants and mountain huts for hearty meals. The owners are conscientious about the condition of the home and the comfort of their guests, not to mention dedicated to helping everyone enjoy this beautiful part of Austria.

Wonderful winter stay
This property is located in an incredible natural setting, which you can fully engage with from the property thanks to the decks surrounding the house on two sides, and the large windows overlooking the Dachstein mountains on the first floor (kitchen and living space). The house itself is as the pictures show - modern-alpine style. Practical insights: 1) the house is perfect for two families traveling with children. There are four bedrooms in total, two that work for adults, while the other two bedrooms are small (with three beds) and no ensuite bathroom. 2) you are located about 10-15 mins by car from Schladming. Taxi services are available (in our case at short notice). 3) the owners did not overcomplicate check-in/check-out and were responsive in all communications. 4) this is the sort of house where the cupboards are full rather than empty. If you happen to have forgotten some olive oil or dishwasher tabs, you'll likely find some there. 5) the lifts in Pichl and the Reiteralm are the closest to the house, and parking (during the busiest week of the year) was never an issue. 6) there are now two loungers on the deck.

Schöner Skiurlaub
Wir haben mit drei Familien /Paaren und 2 Kleinkindern eine sehr schöne Woche Skiurlaub verbracht. Das Haus und die Umgebung sind sehr schön. Die Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war einfach, schnell und Problemlos. Wir können das Haus und die Region nur weiterempfehlen.

This property did no fall short on any of our high expectations regarding style, quality, location and space. For skiers: You drive 5 mins to Preunegg base station, where you have access to all 4 mountains. A perfect stay - thanks for having us.

Das Haus war wie beschrieben wundervoll. Wir hatten herrliche Tage in Schladming auch wenn der Schnee nicht so üppig war. Die Bergkulisse kann man nicht besser genießen als von dem großzügigen Balkon. Einfach traumhaft !

Beautiful house with spectacular views
We were a group of 8 adults and we had a wonderful time at Ferdi Mountain Base. Communication and check in were easy. The house is very well equipped (great for cooking), clean and beautiful. It is the perfect place to relax after a day out skiing, hiking etc. Plus you can enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains.

Kuschelzuhause mit Ausblick
Wir waren mit zwei Familien zu Gast in diesem schönen Haus. Es ist geräumig und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein paar mehr Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Terrasse würden das Ambiente noch bereichern. Und ein bisschen mehr Geschirr, aber das sind wirklich Kleinigkeiten zu dem, was wir geboten bekommen haben. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Umgebung hat viel zu bieten, so dass jeder auf seine Kosten kommen konnte. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.

Super Domizil, mit kleinen, aber unerheblichen Mankos
Wir waren mit 8 Personen in diesem Haus. Bei Betreten der Immobilie ist uns aufgefallen dass die Sauberkeit nicht ganz so gegeben war. Auch Handtücher waren leider zu wenig da. Baulich gesehen ist auch nicht alles komplett Sinnig, z.B. Wenig Steckdosen im Wohn- und Essbereich sowie teilweise sehr sehr kleine Waschbecken. Den Kontakt zum Vermieter kann man nur als unkompliziert und wirklich super nett betiteln! Schnelle Antworten und sehr sehr Hilfsbereit bzw. Kompromissbereit. Die Lage des Objekts ist klasse, wenn man nicht unbedingt einen reinen Skiurlaub plant, da die Infrastruktur in die Skigebiete per Bus doch eher Mau ist. Es gibt zwar eine Bushaltestelle ca. 5 Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt, dennoch fährt dieser nur eine geringe Anzahl der Gebiete an und ist nur gering frequentiert über den Tag verteilt. Unserer Auffassung nach ist dieses Haus aber eher weniger für 10 Personen geeignet, da die Schlafräume sehr eng geplant und kaum geräumig sind und auch das Küchenmaterial bedingt für 10 Personen ausreichen würde. Wir waren froh das wir nur zu 8. waren. Ansonsten entspricht dieses Haus aber komplett der Beschreibung. Einige Mängel und Mankos sind unserer Meinung nach ausgemerzt worden, einige sind aber noch immer vorhanden, wie z.B. Die Abdunklungsmöglichkeiten im Obergeschoss, sowie in einem oder 2 Schlafräumen. Auch Sitzgelegenheiten ( Sofas ) gibt es nicht genug für 10 Personen, nicht einmal wirklich für 8. Was auch fehlte, waren z.B. Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Terrasse. Ich persönlich habe Herrn Datson eine Nachricht geschrieben, mit allem, was uns aufgefallen war, damit Nachmieter evtl. diese Mängel nicht mehr vorfinden. Trotzdem sind wir uns als Gruppe einig, dass man das Haus wirklich weiterempfehlen kann und man dort wirklich eine tolle Zeit verbringen kann. Für einen Urlaub zum entspannten Zusammensein und beispielsweise zum Wandern eignet sich die Lage einfach super! Auch der Ausblick ist absolut klasse. Wir bedanken uns als Gruppe bei Familie Datson für den Komplikationslosen Verlauf von der Buchung, bis hin zum Kontakt und dem Aufenthalt! Tolles Haus, leider mit vielen kleinen Mängeln
Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt von 5 Tagen/4 Nächten mit 5 Personen. Das Haus liegt klasse und ist wirklich schön gebaut. Leider gab es sehr viele kleine Mängel die unseren Urlaub etwas getrübt haben, gerade weil das Objekt doch sehr hochpreisig ist. 1. Bei Ankunft gab es nicht genug Handtücher und die Hausdame hat uns am Ankunftsabend frische Handtücher versprochen. Abends hat Sie uns diese vorbeigebracht, allerdings komplett nass, da es am Tag geregnet hat und die Handtücher dabei wieder nass wurden. 2. Eine der Duschen war komplett defekt und alle Toilettensitzen waren locker bis komplett lose. 3. Die Küche war wirklich noch dreckig. Backofen, Mikrowelle, Ceranfeld total verschmiert und mit Essensresten, Wasserkocher verkalkt und der Geschirrspüler auf Reinigungsstellung, dieser hat erst einmal gar nicht funktioniert. 4. Alle Fenster die in Hangrichtung lagen, konnte man gar nicht öffnen, weil so viele Spinnen(-Netze) und Krabbeltiere am Fenster saßen. Diese werden wohl gar nie gereinigt. An der großen Türe im Fitnessraum war ein großes Wespennest direkt am Durchgang. 5. Es fehlen wahnsinnig viele Kleinigkeiten, wie Handtuchhalter in Bad und Küche. Eine Steckdose im Masterbad fürs Haareföhnen und Vorhänge im Master Schlafzimmer. 6. Es gibt keinerlei Sitz- und Essmöglichkeiten auf der riesigen Dachterrasse, bis auf zwei Liegen. Das war ziemlich schade. Baulich und von der Einrichtung ist das Haus top, nur leider für den hohen Preis nicht richtig gepflegt und eingerichtet. Sollte sich das ändern, würden wir auch wieder kommen.

Traumhafte Lage, tolles Haus
Gut geeignet für 6-8 Personen. Die Lage ist einzigartig. Die verbauten Materialien (Glas/Holz) hochwertig. Es ist viel Platz für den Aufenthalt vorhanden. 2x Carport, ein drittes Auto muss an einer anderen Stelle stehen. WLAN vorhanden. Küchenausstattung ist top. Herrliche Sauna. Ein paar mehr Stühle oder Bänke wären gut. Insgesamt ist das Haus ein Garant zum Wohlfühlen.

The house was exactly as described. Everything brand new. We have enjoyed the oven and the sauna. Everything was very nice. Only one very small remark: watching tv is a bid uncomfortable as the tv is in the back of the sofa. We really looking to come back.

Fantastic house and scenery
We stayed 1 week 6 adults and 6 children in the house in summer and everything was gorgeous. The house is like brand new just in front of the forest and sightseeing the Planai and Reiter All Mountain all the time in front of the house and the Dachstein in the back. You have also good forest running paths just beside the house. Everything worked perfectly in the house and the living room/kitchen is very cozy and with a very good scenery. Our kids spent a very good time. There are also toys in the house and they could play down in the forest on their own. Dachstein, Rittisberg, Planai, Wilde Wasser, Supermarkets are very closed so the house has an ideal location.

Gepflegtes Haus mit vielen Panoramafenstern in einer fantastischen Lage
Wunderschöner und großer Wohn-/Küchenbereich im oberen Stock mit großem Balkon Terasse. Auf zwei Seiten beginnt der Wald , nach vorne heraus eine unverbaute atemberaubende Sicht. Im unteren Stock sind die Schlafbereiche (zwei größere sehr Schöne mit jeweils eigenem Badezimmer und zwei kleinere Schlafzimmer mit 3 Betten(vielleicht ein einig wenig vollgestellt), die sich einen Duschraum und eine Toilette teilen. Zudem befindet sich in der unteren Etage die Sauna, ein weiterer großer (noch leerer) Raum und ein weiterer Terassenaustritt. Dem größten SchlafRaum fehlt noch die Möglichkeit zur Abdunklung. Wer nicht von der Sonne geweckt werden möchte, könnte sich hieran stören. Es fehlen noch ein paar Möbelstücke (Esstisch und Stühle für den Außenbereich), weitere Liegen für die obere Etage und für den Saunabereich. Wenn die noch da sind, gebe ich 6 Sterne... (-; Es war eine wundervolle Urlaubswoche - und das hatte auch viel mit dem tollen Haus und dieser fantastischen Lage und Aussicht zu tun!
