We stayed at this cozy cottage in Schulenburg. It was very clean and well stocked. We had a very relaxed time here touring the painted churches! I would recommend this home to anyone except the handicapped. I would stay here anytime in the area!

Baseball tournament get away
We stayed here due to our son playing in a high school baseball tournament in Weimar over the weekend on 3/7-310. It was a super cute house in a great location. The house was exactly like the pictures on VRBO. Very comfortable and felt like home! Very close to town and where we needed to be for the tournament. We enjoyed the stay very much! We will definitely stay here in the future!

Very charming updated bungalow
Very pleased with this lovely updated bungalow. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a claw foot tub and the other has a modern tub/shower. We had a great time. Fully stocked kitchen except you might want to bring your own spices if you are doing any cooking. Preciously decorated and mattresses were comfortable. Host extremely nice and responsive. Only downside is that it is a block or two from the train that goes through town blowing its horn several times a night, so sleep did get interrupted some by the train. Other than that, street was very quiet with almost no traffic. We walked a couple of blocks down to the Schulenburg Town Park to get some exercise and also walked a couple of blocks away to get lunch at Tillie's, a great little cafe in a vintage block of downtown. Just a great house & only 10-15 minutes away from the wedding we were in town for that was held at The Oaks at High Hill.

Cozy Little Stay
Our family of 4 stayed in this charming home very comfortably. It was very clean, which is a must for us. Guessing the house/property is a work in progress, as there were a coup of places that looked like light fixtures had not yet been installed and a small place in the master bath where the sheet rock needed to be tapped, bed and painted. It sits on a large, beautiful lot that has a lot of promise! Oh, and adding real glass wine glasses would be a plus!

Bethany you were super attentive and always checking up on us even if we did not respond all the time. This was a very cute and relaxing place to stay! The old school layout of the property utilizes the space well and made every room feel spacious. I would highly recommend staying here if your visiting the local towns.

Very clean and cozy home. Enjoyed our stay! I’d recommend a window treatment In the master dressing area, sink in master bath was not draining properly, and there was not remote for the TV in guest bedroom. Otherwise perfect for us!

Would do it again for your “chalet”.
The main bathtub needs a mat as it was very slippery. Also, the front bed room fan would not work unless the light was on. The chain for the light is broken. The light in the dining room was too dim to play cards or dominoes. Otherwise, was perfect!

Excellent place to stay
My two sisters and I stayed here. We were very comfortable and it was close to The Painted Churches and Round Top as well as various other towns. Lots of good restaurants and “to know” suggestions were left at the house as well.
