Villa Muriel is a comfortable beach villa divided into three independent apartments situated a few kilometres away from the characteristic fishing village of Donnalucata. Overlooking a delightful garden with lawn, the villa has direct access to a beautiful beach of fine sand. The Sirena and Morgana apartments, each sleeping six people, are on the ground floor and include a kitchen/living room, three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a covered terrace and a part of the shared garden. On the first floor, accessed by an external spiral staircase, is Marina, the smaller option, that boasts an exclusive, panoramic terrace, a kitchen/living room, a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom. Furnished with taste and comfort in mind, they come with air conditioning, internet Wi-Fi, TV and washing machine. Villa Muriel is also a perfect base for visiting the baroque towns of Scicli, Modica, Ragusa Ibla and Noto, but also Marina di Ragusa with its clubs together with the other places of the Inspector Montalbano series such as Sampieri, Punta Secca and the Donnafugata Castle.

Ruhe, Strand und Meer
Unsere Fahrt vom Fährhafen Palermo quer durch die ganze Insel dauerte unverhältnismäßig lange, weil einige Straßen - ohne jede Ankündigung - wg. Bauarbeiten gesperrt waren und selbst google-maps oft nicht mehr weiter wußte. Wir wurden allerdings von der Wohnungsverwaltung ( MODICA BOUTIQUE HOTEL ) tel. und via WhatsApp bei unserer Odyssee begleitet und bei unserer Ankunft freundlich in Empfang genommen. Man fährt von einer Landstraße einige Hundert Meter über einen unbefestigten Weg zwischen zwei Reihen von Gewächshäusern und erreicht dann das Haus mit den insgesamt 3 Fewos. Unsere Wohnung im OG war tip-top sauber und bot - mit der Terrasse - in der Tat einen beeindruckenden Blick auf den direkt am Gartenende befindlichen Strand und das Meer. Für unseren Geschmack könnte man den Komfort der Wohnung noch mit 2 bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten im Wohn./Essraum ( zusätzlich zu den harten Holzstühlen ) und einer günstigeren und stabilen Positionierung desTV ( nur ital. Programme ) verbessern. Für einen abendlichen Spaziergang in ein Restaurant o.ä. bleibt allerdings nur der Fußweg von einer knappen Stunde am Strand entlang nach Donnalucata ( Gezeiten beachten / Dunkelheit ). Ein Gang über die Landstraße scheidet faktisch wg. der Lebensgefahr auf den überwiegend mit schier unglaublich überhöhten Geschwindigkeiten befahrenen Straßen etc. aus. Also haben wir entweder auf ein Glas Wein beim Abendessen verzichtet ( 0,5 Promille ) oder selbst gekocht, was aber gut möglich war.
