The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The location is right in downtown, you can walk to restaurants. The pool was not super clean, several cigarette butts in the water, trash laying around. Our bathroom was not very clean- hair everywhere. The breakfast was ok. The AC unit in the room was too noisy to keep it on.

Family friendly!
Upon arrival, the keys keys didn't work. It was late and we were traveling with children. Chris was quick to try new cards and then give us a new room. He was calm and polite. He gave us a discount and a bag of goodies for the kids. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast options were great compared to pther places we have stayed. We would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was very helpful. The room was very spacious, and clean. The breakfast was really too. Located very conveniently downtown, with nice secure parking. The only negative was that only one of the two elevators were working during this visit, otherwise it was amazing!

Holes in walls. The one bed is almost smack up against the wall so you have tonscoot to the end of the bed to get out. However the staff was very friendly and polite.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Building could use some upgrades, but for a night or two, it definitely does the job. Very easy to access the building from the side door without a key so not the safest setup considering the location. Location was within walking distance to many restaurants and downtown events, but I wouldn't recommend walking around alone after dark.

The hotel is nice with very friendly and helpful staff, an expansive hot breakfast, and a wonderful outdoor pool, but it’s in a sketchy downtown area. We heard yelling on the street in the middle of the night — apparently not an unusual incident. Wilkes Barre has, alas, seen better days.

This hotel needs help
Wonderful staff, but we paid for a center city experience with no center city open. We paid for an upscale hotel (at least pricewise as compared to others in the area) and we stayed in a hotel barely hanging on. There were 7 stories, but only one elevator that worked and one ice machine that worked.

We did an overnight stay on a road trip & our way back home to upstate NY. I booked because of previous reviews & hotel. Was a very comfortable stay (beds, a/c, large screen TV, and bathroom) Outdoor pool was beautiful & exactly what we needed on this hot day.
